Blasphemy Curses Do Not Apply All Supports (PoE2)

+1 issue still persists

Bump as this issue persists and i am playing Lich rn. I really want curses to just work properly

Wording on the skill gem:
"Turn socketed Curse skills into vile Auras, applying their effects to all nearby enemies"

So it is no longer a Curse but instead a "vile aura"

This is why the wording of tooltips etc in PoE is important.

However there is some merit to the argument since things like;
Ritualistic Curse support still works with Blasphemy, both the positive and negative effect even though the negative effect states "Curse"

So really the question is why do some "Curse" tag supports work with it and not others, especially questionable when they are allowed to be socketed in Blasphemy but do nothing.

I don't see why it wouldn't still be a curse. The actual buff, rather than the flavour text, says "socketed curse skills apply in an aura around you". They're still curse skills just applied to the area around you rather than the area they are cast on.

Zone of Control on the passive tree, which says "Enemies you Curse are Hindered" still applies hinder to enemies when applying the curse via blasphemy. Therefore they must be cursed.

Additionally the curse tooltip says that it causes "chaos damage per second to cursed targets". Since they are cursed, because Zone of Control's hinder works, they should be taking damage over time.

This is very clearly a bug since the enemy is cursed but the damage over time isn't properly applying.

The interesting thing about this is, that you can see the effect of Decaying Hex is shown in the Blasphemy description. As someone else already pointed out, supports that related to spirit gems work fine.

To recap : support gems related to active spirit gems (ie. Clarity, Cannibalism...) work fine with Blasphemy. Some curse gems such as Heightened Curse also seem to work. Others, such as Decaying Hex or Impending Doom, don't.

Hope they will fix it soon or give us more clarity how it actually works.
