PoE2 is melting my GPU

Just my guess, maybe a coincidence...

For a long time, my game crashed with an error like "device removed"/"queue signal failed" or something like that. I assumed that this was due to some kind of desynchronization of the game and the speed of the video card. I mean, some moments of the game are very simple and the card slows down, and then there is a jump to the performance requirements and the card does not have time to accelerate, an error appears. (I'm not an expert, but it looks like this)

After the last patch, the fan on my card spins almost constantly and the game stopped crashing. There is only one case when the game crashes with such an error - if I press ESC (pause), press alt + tab, do something on the computer, the card slows down ... when I return to the game and unpause - the game crashes.

Probably GGG configured the game so that it does not allow the video card to slow down. I think that now is better than when it is impossible to play because of crashes.

Regardless of this. If your temperature is too high, then most likely your card is overclocked. My card works fine (AMD 7900GRE with autoboost, all setting are default).

Cap the FPS will lower the Voltage and the Temps.
I cap at 90 FPS, got only 62 C° alltime.
You run POE with 300 FPS? Sounds like yes... it cost alot of money and burn your GPU for nothing.
Incredible how this have not being fixed yet

You should be talking to NVidia (as if they care about the consumer market anymore) they are the ones that optimize or not the driver to properly respond to the commands given by the game engine.

Kinda curious. Lets see how my 7950x3d + 7900 xtx does with temps.

Is a problem i and many others only have with poe so ofc i will report to GGG, they created a category specifically for this type of thing. They're the one who can actually press nvidia/amd/intel about this, we're simply customers relating our problems with the product we bought.

And if a problem doesn't happen to you that doesn't mean the problem doesn't exist, there's a reason why there are so many posts about this here.

I never said there was not a problem. Its probably best if you take everything I say literally and not add inferences to my words. I guarantee you'll get it wrong 95% of the time.

That said it appears the problem may not exist on the AMD side but not for obvious reasons. I had forgotten till I started playing around with settings today that no matter how I set the in-game or AMD control panel settings the game runs at 60 fps. Never less, never more.

I get higher GPU temps with multiple chrome tabs open than I do playing POE 2. I suspect things might be different if I could run higher FPS.

As for NV, since the public proclamation they are an AI company now states a lot about the companies goals. The more noise made the better, yes GGG will try to partner with both NV, AMD, and Intel, however NV has a poor record of being willing to partner unless a company signs an exclusive this game sponsored by NV deal.

So don't come here to tell people to "ask nvidia about this not ggg", that doesn't help in anything. I know i'd definitely not waste my time doing that if i was not having any problem specific to poe2.

It really quite simple. I have my viewpoints, you have yours.

In terms of "Ask Nvidia" no, I mean and intend "Tell Nvidia" there is a difference.

Lets keep in mind this is a communal space for everyone. Again, just my viewpoint, not really your place, or mine, to tell someone what they can/should and cant do.

Lets try to keep things on topic, any and all contentious and argumentative, rhetoric, mine included, is really quite pointless and helps no one.
