poe2filter.com - A PoE 2 custom loot filter generation website

Influenced maps don't have icons next to them. It looks like a normal map on the ground. Influenced items have icons, just maps don't.

Same without using filter, so is it just by default?

You just mean that the example I show is incorrect? You're right, hadn't noticed! Not sure if I should remove it though, it does sort of given an extra confirmation/example... :)

PoE1: Updated Uniques Values - v0.9.131 - 05/11/2025

- Updated the price of all Unique Items.
- Added the Thaumaturgic Dust Value of all new Unique Items.
- Updated the Class-specific Potential Unique Items.
- We've fixed the changed Unique Wand Base Types again. Won't happen again!
- Fixed a bug where, when you sync a Stored Filter which you deleted from your PoE account, and chose to re-create it, would not work properly (thanks ktkrsr).

You can now test a huge new version of both poe2filter and poe1filter, including a Quick Filter overhaul with different sections and the introduction of Equipment Tiers, on https://beta.poe2filter.com/ and https://beta.poe1filter.com/. Feedback very welcome here, or on Discord!

Practical info:
- The beta is completely separate from the live site. You can't sync from and to the beta site, you can only manually import and export .filter files.
- You can import your existing filters to migrate them to the new version (v132). You should keep a backup of your current (v131) .filter files.
- I may be releasing new versions of the beta over the coming days. When the migration changed, I won't do incremental migrations -- you should import your v131 filters again to migrate them again (which will override any changes you made in the mean time).
- Once v132 goes live, you will be able to use (import) the beta .filter files.

v1.0: Quick Filter overhaul, Item Tiers, Leveling Gear, Rule Navigation - 08/12/2025

Introducing PoE2 Filter v1.0

This week exactly one year ago, we built & deployed the very first version of PoE2 Filter. What a journey it has been! Our first anniversary coincides with the release of Path of Exile 2's 0.4 update on Friday, which gives us all the more reason to celebrate. Later this week we'll look back at some key highlights of the past year -- and what the future will bring. But to kick off the celebrations, we present v1.0 of the tool: a huge update, featuring a Quick Filters overhaul, the introduction of Item Tiers with their own Cosmetics, much more elaborate My Equipment filters, a dedicated League Start section with the automatic Leveling Gear and Vendor Gear filters ported over from our PoE1 version, and much more.

Quick Filters Overhaul

The Quick Filters are now divided into collapsible Sections. A complaint we often received was that for instance Jewellery filters were too spread-out over the Quick Filters, and it wasn't always obvious why something was categorized as a Highlight. At the same time, people often requested to be able to fine-tune 'Jewellery Exceptions' in the same way as 'Gear Exceptions'. It was also confusing that configuring if and how certain variants of 'Gear Exceptions' would be displayed was done in the 'Highlights' section.

To solve all of this, we grouped all related filters together, and treat Jewellery the same as Gear. We moved all of these rules to the right-hand side of the tool; everything else to the left. There are now three distinct Equipment sections, in order of precedence: My Equipment, for everything you're particularly looking for; Other Equipment, for potentially valuable items to trade, and Remaining Equipment; which hides all the rest.

We also grouped all Early-league filters, used only during your first run(s), to their separate section. Finally, we got rid of the eclectic 'Highlights' section -- all rules were moved to wherever they made sense thematically.

Like Filter Groups, Sections are collapsible, they show how many rules are active, and their toggle state is stored in the filter.

Item Tier List

Another confusing aspect of the Quick Filters was that it was cumbersome to change an item's tier. You had to open the Style Dialog picker and select another 'Drop Tier'. It also wasn't always clear why some rules allowed this option, and others not. There was no overview of the tiers of all different types of items and their tiers. Finally, the configuration for these rules took up a lot of space in the Filter Output.

We solved all of this by introducing entirely new Item Tiers -- just like Currency Tiers, Unique Tiers, etc. They receive their own Item Tier List tab, where you can see an overview, choose between two presets, and drag & drop any Item Type to your desired tier. You can also easily change an item's tier by clicking on its icon in the Quick Filters.

Item Cosmetics

By default, we don't change items' label styles -- we just apply the typical highlight Beams, and the iconic 'Kite' Minimap Icons. But as always, it's easy to change to your preferences, on the Item Cosmetics tab. You can also just inherit whatever cosmetics you set for the Currency Tiers, with one click -- changing only the Minimap Icon.

We also made it more intuitive to override the cosmetics of different *types* of items: you can specify overrides for 'My' Equpiment, Leveling Gear, Identified Items, Gold, Waystones,...

My Equipment

We renamed 'Gear Exceptions' to 'My Equipment': all Gear & Jewellery which you're looking for in particular, to identify or craft on. You just have to select which *types* of Weapons, Armour & Jewellery you're looking for, and automatically, the filter will highlight all interesting *variants* of these items more prominently than they otherwise would: Tiered Unidentified items, Exceptional bases, or high-Item Level bases. Of course, you can toggle these on or off; and pick a tier for them.

You can now not just do this for Gear, but also for Jewellery (Amulets, Rings, Belts) and Jewels!

You might also notice that 'My Equipment' rules which were auto-generated through the presets are distinctly styled. This means that these rows can get changed as you switch presets.

League Start, Leveling Gear, Vendoring Items

As mentioned before, we grouped all of the Early-league filters together under a 'League Start' section. We ported over the 'Leveling Gear' functionality which already existed in the PoE1 version of the tool. This adds auto-scaling rules for your chosen Gear (Weapon Types & Defence Types). When enabled, on the Gear Tier List tab, you can simulate exactly which Base Types will be shown in which Area Level.

By default, we've enabled Leveling Gear filters for the first 2 (campaign) presets, but they work all the way up until Area Level 70. At that point you should switch to the more specific 'My Equipment' functionality.

We've also ported over the 'Vendoring Items' functionality from our PoE1 version, which replaces the need for a 'Hide Gear By Rarity' filter. By default, these Rare & Magic items which are not for your class will be shown with a transparent label, but you have many more display options.

Improved Filter Output & Rule Navigation

You might notice that the Filter Output section below the tool also received some love! It received some minimal styling; and every generated rule now has a human-readable name, e.g. "Show # Excellent Uniques". What's more: in many cases, you can now hold CTRL and click on a rule's id to navigate to the Quick Filter rule which governs it, and vice versa! We still need to add support for the 'My Equipment' section, though.

Migration

As always, your filters will get automatically migrated to this new structure, where possible. Do have a look around, and let us know if you notice anything we skipped! What *did not* get migrated is any Item Tiers you might have changed before -- and of course, if you had given a 'Custom Style' to an item which has now become a regularly tiered item.

Other Changes

- You can now change the Tiering Mode from the Currency Quick Filters.
- You can now set the exact cutoff points of Large and Huge Gold Stacks.
- 'Wanted Chance Bases' were renamed to the new 'My Chance Bases' terminology.
- Many other small fixes and improvements.

What's next

- The coming days we'll keep an eye on your feedback & try to fix any bugs introduced by this large rewrite. Drop us a line on Discord or on the Official Forum Thread if you notice anything! Please bare with us, it was a big one!
- In the mean time, we'll start preparing for the PoE2 0.4 Item Filter Changes.
- We still have some surprises in store to celebrate our 1-Year Anniversary together with you this week!

+1 except for the friends bit.
Don't get lost by being so focused on the target that you forget to enjoy your surroundings.
Hah, thanks for the kind words, and for spreading the word -- that's the best thing you can do! :)
