Activation failed. Invalid map specified

I am also having the same problem. "Activation failed. Invalid map specified". Can POE2 support fixed the bug? Or is it we are doing anything wrong to have this error at the game?

Same thing. Effects from the first tower I used a tablet on transferred over to the new tower I cleared and I can't click on it. Only tower that I can click on is the one I applied it to initially, but I receive the activation failed message when I try putting in another tablet there.

I also experience this on 2 towers even after the big update in January. I am pretty sure I already added a tablet to those towers though.

Also getting this exact error. At the same time can not even open the menu to use a tablet on the tower I cleared last. Maybe related?

Seems like maybe its only happening on the "Mesa" tower maps for me

After clearing new tower I cannot use it for the first time. What I have already tried, but didn't help:

- changed server
- deleted custom filters
- restarted game client
- closed aux apps like Sidekick and Overwolf
- restarted my PC
- reinstalled my Steam version game

Some clues for potential fix:

- every tower I conquer was immediately influenced by tablet which worked well
- my last cleared tower, which invoked bug is Lost Towers one, Forest biome
- my previously cleared tower, which appears to be the only clickable (but has been already influenced as I mentioned in first point) is Mesa, Desert biome
- only clickable tower shows empty slot for tablet but cannot be influenced mentioning "Activation failed. Invalid map specified"

To others with same bug: please check if your previously conquered tower was also Mesa, maybe same biome, what is last conquered one (that firstly noted as invoking bug).

Claimed new tower - Sinking Spire, Swamp, and this one is clickable, also influenced properly with tablet. But still previously bugged one (and Mesa being cleared before that) remains bugged in the same way I mentioned before.

Ok so I had 1 mesa tower work fine for me. Im wondering if maybe we all had mesa towers in close proximity to each other, and the key here is we attempted all the available maps in range but did not succeed, so the game wasn't letting us buff nodes because we failed the only ones in range. There's 3 mesa towers right at my starting point and I had no idea what the heck was going on at that point and probably totally wasted nodes and waystones dying often
