Legacy of the Vaal: Speak to Doryani quest refuses to go away

Solution:

1. Waypoint anywhere marked (Present) in Act 3
2. TP back to Ziggurat Encampment (this should take you to present, not past)
3. Speak to Doryani here in town

I assume you have to do it on the difficulty where it originally occurred to you - for me it was in Cruel, for others it may be in Normal.

edit: Nevermind, this only worked on one character, the quest seems to remain on another.

Still have this bug.

This seemed to work, as I got exclamation points over Doryani and Sin, as well as a "Complete" popup... However the quest remains.

worked, i found doryani with the quest mark, also the hooded... but, by the time i backed to zig refuge in the past, the quest was still there!!

Either this was fixed without a patch note, or the steps I followed above eventually fixed it.

I logged in today on this old character that had the issue, and I noticed in hideout Doryani now had an exclamation point over their head, and gave me a T1 map reward. The bugged quest is now gone.
