Life sucks (in Poe2)

imo life is currently balanced around bloodmage, because that girl can get real thicc if she wants to. can't have that now can we.

Well there is str stacking + spectum jewels + kaoms chest + 50 % hp helmet + amulet hp %. You could scale hp on any char to 7k-8k but that would have a downside on resists or wte. If you mean passive tree then yes life is bad. But eah bloodmages can ramp up over 10k hp, noone comes close. My 76 lvl bloodmage is already over 4.5k hp

After spending thousands of hours in PoE1 and now PoE2, I've realized that life scaling in GGG games is done this way to make you realize that if you're playing this game, you have no life. It's a very, very, very bad nerd joke from GGG.

Coming back to this post almost a year later... Life still sucks GGG what's the plan here?

Playing Titan this league with 3300hp (I do still have a couple slots where I can optimize health, but that's only like an extra 200 health without having to sacrifice massive damage) meanwhile you guys still haven't done a single thing about the broken mess that is ES.

I don't understand why it seems like you guys are taking this stance of being too careful when it comes to balance. It's early access I think it would be more of an overall positive to have life be maybe a little too good rather than the complete garbage heap it is now.

Also to everyone saying "Life isn't meant to compete with ES" or whatever, how in the holy hell does that make any sense at all. Life and ES both have the exact same function... which is to absorb damage and the more you have the harder it is to kill you... so when you can stack ES and evasion or ES and armor and still have 10k+ ES comfortably, that is a major problem when life can't even get 1/3rd of that(most of the time).

I SHOULD BE ABLE TO PLAY A LIFE BUILD. No one wants the game to devolve into one build which consists of using ES 100% of the time... That would be boring as hell.
