League Resets - Please clarify if one is coming soon

I'm getting sick of all the trolling in POE2 chats about league resets. Yes, I know this is part of the game. I'm not crying about any resets that happen, I just want to know when they are going to occur. Right now I'm having a hard time playing because it really feels like a reset is coming and if so, I want to take a break until it happens.

I'm trying to reduce burnout by not simply logging in one day and bam, a reset occurred and it caught me off guard... leading to not wanting to bother playing for a long time. I could stop playing now, come back in a month and be like... oh no reset yet? Then a day later, bam reset. Then I'm just going to move on and may never touch the game again for a long time.

Sorry if there is already information out there on if a reset will occur with the next major patch, I simply can't find it.

We will find out on March 27th. Until then, I'm sure everyone expects it to be a "league" type reset with the new class and content changes. Its just something that happens normally for PoE1 and is expected. Take a break and don't burn out. Play and have fun and not grind it out. Its still a good gameplay loop.

Yea, that's what im looking forward to as well, however if there is indeed a reset. why is GGG not announcing it now? I mean, annoucing a reset 7 days before a reset, wouldn't it be too prompt?

If this wasn’t EA I would be 100% confident of a reset. Has there ever been a version change on PoE without a reset? It’s always know that 3.23,3.24,3.25 means new league. 0.1 to 0.2 should imply a new “league” but it would definitely make sense for them to have just straight up mentioned that with the pre-announcement.

I'd bet everything that it's going to be a reset on the 4th. I'm as certain as you could possibly be. I'm basing this on more than just a guess. They need fresh resets to judge new balance changes, new classes and many other changes.

They wouldn't name an update without a reset, that would be unusual for POE I believe.

Stop calling it a reset, people seem to get confused.
It's a new league, exactly how PoE1 has done it for over a decade.
All existing characters and items are dumped into "standard".
Nothing is reset/removed.
