Path of Exile 2: Dawn of the Hunt Launch - Live Updates 🔴

As some other users said, I am now bricked in The Red Vale, crashes and closes game with no error message. This is after I tried making a new character last night as my first one was 'bricked' in the Clearfell encampment due to constant 'unknown object serialised' errors when entering town. My performance is also terrible, my partner asked if my PC was ok as the fans just randomly ramp up to Mach 10, even on character screens. No such issues on other games. Whilst trying to fix the performance using the various options, I had a ton of crashes switching between Vulkan and Direct X options, again, even in character screens. Bit of a shame as I had been looking forward to playing, I am sure these will be addressed soon though.

Edit - I started one more character, turned all settings to minimum (just in case). Got back to The Red Vale, held my breath, entered - Crashed and bricked that character. I'll try again next week.

Wait until the next big update.


The devs are having fun screwing all your builds after a couple of months.

Oh look, another fanboi whining that people are legitimately upset with a patch. I know that you really, really want GGG to make you the prom king, but it's just not going to happen. Forget about it.

Early access? Beta? That part is covered with the "where's the other 3 acts? where's the other classes and ascendancies?" Nuking...and that's an understatement...all of the skills, defense, and damage of everyone to reduce the game down to poking at white trash mobs with a toothpick is not how people want to continue playing.

GGG screwed this up, and people have a right to be upset. They also have a right to speak their minds and walk away. You supergluing your lips to GGG's backside just makes you look desperate. Stop it. Get some help.

While you're at it, go look at all the ARPGs to date. How many of them had characters blowing up screens. When one company decided to pull the same garbage GGG pulled here, what happened to their game?

At the end of the day, who's game is this? You can't say GGG, because they don't even playtest the game. You can't say the players because GGG just threw many of them away (after making a chunk of cash). Now all that's left is a small collection of whiny fanboys sniffing GGG's farts.

I don't care. You can have the game. My only fun left in it is to call people like you out. It helps wind me down.

Like a lot of other players Ive invested a lot of time in my char. Ive died, cried for dying, decided to try something else to help me overcome the problem, Ive farmed and I have been looking forward to future challenges and so on.

But chances are high that Im not going to play this game again. Two hours of your patching the game and now I dont have the energy to even put my skillpoints back into tree again, because I feel hollow, I feel totally drained of energy, like what where you thinking by doing this. I understand that you need data, but how are you going to get them if people abandons the game?

Nvidia Reflex isn't the issue it didn't matter if it was enabled or not for me it's just the entire DirectX 12 version that is borked and HDR was removed in DX12 also it seems or just broken as well.

Vulkan mostly sorts out the issues above but still gets random crashes.
