Do I have to create new character for 0.2.0?

Hi there.

There are many conflicting opinions. Some say that in order to take advantage of patch 0.2.0, I have to create a new character. Others say that it is not necessary, and that it is only advisable for beta testing purposes. How is it in reality?

From what I can see, part of the skill tree has been reset. The currency tab has a place for Fracturing Orbs. I also have access to new support gems. Does this mean that playing with an old character I have access to all the new content?

I don't really have time to create a new character from scratch. I would rather continue playing with an old one.

You will have access to the new content on older toons. Recommeneded to start fresh.

It would probably suck ass to make a new char just to grind for everything again when you really just want to experience the new changes.

So I guess the only difference is I can't trade with Dawn of the Hunt players?

No but if you see how badly your old character was gutted, you'll probably wish you just made a new character and didn't think about it.

Most likely in the future, the resets will be accompanied with leagues that have exclusive content for that league that you won't see in standard. So it's often going to be the case that every 3-4 months, most players will start over fresh.

Yeah, my Shockwave Totem Titan with no direct nerfs to totems went from over 100k dps to ...17k xD Don't know why. Nodes on tree seems the same, some skills values changed like 5-10%, lost 2 jewels due to sockets being removed from the tree... So where's 80% of my damage? xD

I am familiar with POE1 system. Seems like it doesn't apply in this case for now.
