early game feels really really bad now
" I have ups and downs with the huntress. Some stuff feels really good, but some feels really bad too. The way to clear and level most efficiently is to combo skills together with some really massive payoffs for being able to detonate a flame spear with a leap into 3 stacks of the whirlwind attack and break that off into tornadoes. That requires 4 skills and 6 total actions to pull off and feels extremely satisfying when you can do it. Trouble is, there is not enough of a window on boss fights to string this together so you end up mostly just chipping away with your spear and occasionally landing the triple whirlwind into tornadoes. This playstyle also won't be viable at endgame either where the mob speed and density dictates that we need 1-2 skills to clear or else we end up dead. The same goes for the new parry mechanic. It's interesting for the first part of the game, but once things speed up and we start to get swarmed and the interactions built into the mechanic itself are going to get nullified. That's the real problem with the game right now is that it's abbreviated campaign and endgame are completely disjointed. Последняя редакция: Chef Ref 77#8129. Время: 5 апр. 2025 г., 02:01:08

I'm trying huntress and initially I was having a good time, and parry is really great. The problem with parry is 10-20 enemies coming at you at once, parry is almost useless when you want to follow up the attack. The damage was fine at first but as you progress the damage falls off and it feels like you are either missing or barely doing any damage.
What a shame. I mean really. There's a good game in here. But its clear, this guy in charge has a vision for the game. That vision is stupid. |

This is like, Blizzard-level bad. I'm not sure what they're doing with this game.

Haven't had any major issues so far in early game and I'm playing a HUNTRESS minion build to experiment with companions.
Similar to the original Early Access (ie before build guides were up), I've found that utilising class native combos and building upon them are still extremely effective - eg sniper gas cloud + firewall explosions, while allowing skills to graduate up the power curve. This game wasn't designed to be a pure 1-button fest, this has been repeated ad nauseum, including over the last 3 months. That it *had* become a bit silly again ("comets per second" anyone?) was unintended, to my understanding. EDIT - spelling Последняя редакция: passioncousland#3344. Время: 5 апр. 2025 г., 03:54:11

" I guarantee you the meta will be the same as 0.1 for lategame players, there will be busted 1 button screen clear builds all over the place. But who wants to slog through hot shit to get there? And why is the difficulty frontloaded? Even just looking at LA lack of nerfs I can gaurentee you that skill with half decent gear will faceroll everything, even without heralds. Having act 1-3 be darksouls arpg version, just for the game to play like PoE1 without movement skills after that makes zero sense. |

If you want to wait for the 1 button build guides to come out, much like when POE2 Early Access came out and some players were exposed, just wait a few days and you can copy pasta to your heart's delight.
If you find the concept of 2 button combos vs 1 button to be an insurmountable "slog", I'm not sure there's anything of constructive potential in this discussion. |

I just hope the end game feels good I'll be ok. I'm going faster than I did the first time around (I'm a one build per league guy). But that's because I have more experience with POE2 now.
But I really do miss POE1 leagues. It's just awful that they put it on the back burner and we might get 1 league per year now in that. That's what really makes me sad. It might have been fine if we were stuck on OG harvest or something for a year+ but I think settlers is one of the most boring league mechanics in a long time. Последняя редакция: Anton__Chigur#9285.
