Why in the world was I created a new account when played via Steam????

SO I just bought POE2 from Steam and I realized a new account was created. WHY ???

I was expecting to see a log in screen and add my old credentials. Now I have one for poe1 and another for poe2? How will my items from the old game will be transferred to new one??

It`s mind blowing. I don`t want to deal with problems. I just want to have fun!

For Christ sake..

I think I`ll just refund the stpd game..
