State of the game
Well,
I found the last patch a little on the higher difficulty side leveling. This is the next level. It is not enjoyable, I've made it to act 2, had to reroll about 3 times because the skills are so bad. As a POE1 player of over 10 years, you really need to buff the skills in this game. They are terrible. Why even make the leveling experience suck so much? It's not fun. The state of my game is it is uninstalled. It's not even a game, it's a job. Chance of finding a drop for your own build is like one in 100,000 while playing solo. And you'll find uniques that involve having to redo your entire character or skill tree.
The flow of the game is the worst I've seen in any ARPG. Really niche items and a super slow leveling system? So I should invest 3 months of playing everyday to try out 4 different builds? It's a joke. The game is an insult to anyones time who has value at all. I'm only typing this because it's cathartic to laugh at how bad it is. There was never any point in any of the acts I cleared where my eyes lit up and I felt 'powerful'. Even in Diablo 2/Diablo 3 at level 1-6 you get power spikes and feel powerful for a bit. IF the patch notes included reducing boss HP by 65%, I might consider reinstalling, but these super long boss fights aren't what ARPGs are about. Let the boss be a stat check, have a pattern where you can get hit once per every 2-3 rotations of their spells, and just kill you if you are too weak. Absolutely do not make the boss just 1 shot everything if you mess up for a split second during a 10 minute fight. The boss fights were simply boring, as well. A boss that flies onto pillars that you can destroy? And this 'boss' is so athletically weak that it just falls to the ground like a Goomba? You can tell it's designed by clowns. It's sad that there is no "like" function here on the forum. This post is basically my thoughts precisely.
