Fire spells still underperforming
" " Well actually, single target isn't the problem. You have flameblast and ember fusillade when flameblast is on cooldown. The problem is fireball's damage is too low as pure fire. It's only used as a ricochet gimmick in other builds so maybe devs don't see a need to buff it. There's no other alternative mobbing skill as a fire sorc so fireball needs to be stronger imo. But all fire spells on the low end definitely need a buff. Damage on the high end is decent, but mana costs are such a huge issue that I can't afford to level my gem from 17 to 20 so I'm missing 3 levels of damage on all my spells. So I'm missing a lot of damage from 3 levels. And the fire archetype as a whole should be about doing massive damage. Currently you have ice which can freeze and lightning which can shock that both outperform fire that has no defensive aspects. As a purely offensive archetype, they should do more damage. |

" except flameblast is on a long cd, and ember fusillade is prob the most annoying spell to use the the game. having to set up 2 of the same spell and alternate casting between them to do decent damage is not fun |

" Oh I agree. I'm playing chrono so Flameblast cooldown is less of an issue, but yeah ember fusillade is a very frustrating spell to use. I think chrono fits fire the most since it can play around the flameblast cooldown the best. But still, I haven't had any issues with single target. |

Fireball got nerfed with the nerf of wildshards on it and its not effective at all right now Ember fusillade is good with wildshards but it seems to be a bug when you could always max projectiles when using the spell before the end of released projectiles. Its tedious to play it and without archmage and nerf of EB, its barely doing damages. Flameblast could be useful against a boss, but with the long CD is not playable against trash mobs. Orb of fire is a support skill Detonate dead was nerfed not only with nerf of % of mob's life but with a nerf of fire dmg of the spell (no idea why ?) Firestorm is a joke, cause damages are irrelevant and so random. Incinerate seem to be the only one thats okay right now but in a specific way (chaos damage) 3 evidences that prove fire spells are bad : - To make a fire spell working the best is... not playing as fire damage : using the gloves that make fire damage doing cold damage or ring that make it chaos damage. Thats the only way to play fire spells right now - Mathil and Jungroan, 2 of the best builders in this game, are not able to make it correctly work even while spending hundreds of divines as money to craft their build. - Fire spells have... no real ascendancy to play around right now. Sorceress is made for lightning and cold dmg, and infernalist is made for playing around minions (even if the last changes of infernalist ascendancy were pretty good). " That's what PoE2 is sadly. If you dont play build that oneshots 4 screens of mobs in 0.1 second , you better quit and play other games.
