Make game bad, community gets upset. Forums explode with negativity. Streamers go off on rants. Reddit goes nuts. No press is bad press.

Wait some time (your competitor releases a new patch, for instance) then reverse changes or release a patch "fixing" things.

Then, all of a sudden, GGG is "back". They will be the savior. People will return. More money will flow. Forums are flooded with "GGG iS ThE GrEaTeSt EvEr!!!!".

After a while repeat the process. Profit.

This is abuse. They made us pay to alpha test a game for them and told us it was beta ready.

I’m still of the opinion they could be sued for false advertisement.

I wouldn’t be surprised if there was financial incentive provided by LE studio to GGG so that LE launch isn’t an absolute failure.

Amen. Early access isn't a mechanism to get people to beta test their game. They are not paying us to fix their game, they are charging us.

Early access is a sold product not a free product. If it was free beta without $500 support packs I would support the arguments around early access.

Early access simply means the game is unfinished. It's supposed to get better, not worse.

The entire structure of damage and life and game pacing has been altered. It wasn't needed. There was nothing wrong with the original pace of the game.

You can't cry early access when the game is turned to shit right in front of your eyes.
