Minions weren't under performing though? They were very strong last patch. And even with them being nerfed, I reckon someone will come up with a new play that makes the just as strong.

So I'll give you "minions" as a nerfed skill just for the sake of the argument. What else?

Would like the game to feel more rewarding which has yet to present itself in early access. Mechanically the game is fairly decent. Getting tagged by abilities and spells while seemingly out of the area of effect needs improvement. Perhaps focus on the fine tuning of movement and dodging if you want they make it a integral part of the game. The game does not feel difficult, mostly unrewarding and frustrating with floating movement mechanics. Slowing down the game with more involving combat works well instead of the mindless blasting of the original poe. But there are always outlier builds and end game screen clearing. Hopefully there is some real fine tuning happening for game consistency sake.

GGG way of implementing their "Vision" is by gutting player movement, damage, progression, and crafting, all while having the mobs easily twice as fast as poe1 mobs and hit 3-4 times as hard. That is lazy game design that makes the already boring repetitive un inspiring campaign areas horrific to play. Grinding over and over in areas that have very repetitive boring tile sets is not fun. I would be very interested if a Steam chart could just show the numbers without Chinese P(b)l(o)ay(t)er(s).

They are underperfoming from last patch. They nerf the best minion which is arsonist. Storm and cold are not really that strong they are just there for utility only just like cleric. all melee minion sucks because they have a very bad AI along with bbad pathing and aggro range. You are fairly limited on minion choices if you play summoner.

The good thing about minion from last patch is they still have damage to cover their weakness, and this new patch makes them totally useless.

Even a streamer specialized as summoner like ghazzy or balor who havs lots of time to theorycrafting and playing the game are having a hard time to build summoner.
