[SUGGESTION] Move movement speed on boots to an implicit or even build in modifier

Currently on Poe 2 there’s no way of craft benching ms on your boots so maybe it would be a good idea to move it to an item itself?
Same as block chance is on shield, dmg on weapon etc.
It could work same as block chance for example:
Some amount, let’s say up to 20%, on an item depending on base + explicit modifier that would add up to 35% depending on a roll.
It would make even “badly” rolled boots (no ms) still usable 🙏

recent interview just dropped. They talked about Move speed on boots, and why it would be bad for the game.

Cant remember myself atm, too tired. Dont know if i can post vids in this forum.
Recent Zizaran interview, so just look up that name. dropped a few hours ago.
yeah, sadly letting players move around faster would decrease the number of players falling asleep that means less players connected to the game so that wont happen

That's sad and unreasonable.
Each slot has it's own 'identity'.
They even added implicit for belts (charm slots) for the exact same reason.
Boots should imo implicitly make you faster, as this is their primary role.

they are considering it. they are going to add some change to movement where it doesn't affect combat. It's important to not pretend that movement speed has no effect on challenge in this game - the bosses in particular rely on the character's base speed to be any threat, if you take some speed nodes and 15% boots you can walk around nearly every AoE skill used on you it the first acts.

in fairness a solution which requires work for them could be, add implicit move speed to boots, but also adjust several enemy AoE skills to be bigger or faster as well.

I strongly agree with your point that any boots with no movement speed are instatrash in this game. I'm HC SSF and I have some 60 life, dual-resistance boots that sit in my stash waiting for an exalt because I'd prefer to wear my boots with MS and 3-4 useless stats.

Main issue for ms, it's rng and boots based. Only one item get it. Why not a rune with ms you can put on boot ? Why no more interesting & varied modifiers on flasks, like ms while under flask effect (old quicksilver flask). Why most travel skills are so slooooow early on ? They could get a speed buff at base and a slower scaling with att speed to reach the same pt endgame. Why heavy armour slow you down while it feel inferior to other defence types ? I don't mean to be slower if it's mean better survival than other defence types.

No one wants to use boots without any movement speed. How can it be bad to make this a modifier that is always on the boots? It just makes crafting useful boots more difficult...
Crafting is gambling for all stats including speed, and that should be changed. But choice of speed vs other stats is a valid choice to make. You want to sacrifice something for movement speed - feel free. But just adding speed is equivalent to just making the game faster and that is stupid.
Been saying this for a while. Movement speed should be on every pair of boots in the game. It should be an implicit that scales with iLvL, just like charm slots do now. Could still leave a little bit of RNG involved if they want. For example, the highest base could have a range of 25 - 35%.

That's just not true. Nobody is wearing boots without movement speed to begin with.
