Ye I like the poe2. Cna't stand 1, it's just boring compared to 2. If you like the game play it, but remember, you don't have to. Play games that you like, leave poe2 to poeple who enjoy playing it
Yeah ok. You play the game WE FUNDED. You should read your own posts to understand how it sounds. You are laughing at people with complaints. You are literally telling them to stop playing the game. You know what happens if all the people not having fun stop playing? The game dies. Then you don't have a game to play.
What you need to understand is your opinion is yours. You are entitled to it and I'm happy you are enjoying it. But we want to enjoy it also and our opinion matters and is more relevant because we know what would make a better game. We supported GGG through millions of dollars, we put the time in, the streamers made it popular. The fact we even got POE2 is purely down to these facts.
It's not even that different a game to POE1. They remixed some features, and rushed an end game (that they even admit is bad and are changing). The features in the end game are all POE1 features. Let me explain.
Ritual - Only works when there are decent enough loot options to grind for. In 0.1 there was nowhere near enough of that loot to make it work. It's the same as POE1 except for the new ritual post effects, of which some are in POE1. Generally this can get back to par once enough items to grind it for are introduced.
Corruption - In POE1 the entire reason to do this was for the Tainted Currency, which is not in the game yet. Now it's just there to slow you down. It's worse.
Delirium - In POE1 the reason to do this was Simulacrum splinters, clearspeed rewards and Delirium specific jewels. Simulacrum splinters haven't changed. Clearspeed rewards are nerfed so much and you only get to tier 4 or so before it dissipates. Not even that on a bad map layout. Deli-jewels aren't in the game and have been replaced with amulet crafting (which was another league mechanic entirely). Once you have your ammy crafted, there is no reason to do it anymore. It's worse.
Essence - In POE1 these were used to craft levelling gear mostly or meta-craft end game items. Currently I have used one of these because they cannot roll well, EVER. You might get one or two usable stats. Nothing else. No combination/meta-crafting with them either. It is worse.
Strongboxes - In POE1 we had mechanics to avoid some of the deadly traps they induce. We do not have those defences anymore. Freeze on opening? Yeah I want to stand there with no tactical way to get out of it. The loot is worse because itemisation is worse. They added the unique strongboxes, which is you fighting a mob like 6 times and it drops loot each time. But the loot isn't worth the time. It is worse.
Towers - In POE1 these were done with Scarabs. You could add features to maps and by the time they made Scarabs a more fleshed out feature, it was one of the best things in the game for customising your experiences and deterministically getting loot. They are gone in favour of a system they just rebuilt because it was so bad. It might be slightly better now but it still suffers from lack of being able to pick a map you want to do in order to juice it. It is worse.
Unique Maps - In POE1 they dropped as maps. Now they don't drop as waystones, but rather you have to get lucky on the RNG of the world map. Good luck finding one. I've done hundreds of maps, spread my atlas out in all directions and along one axis further than the others, and I found one. It is worse.
Breach - In POE1 it was pretty much the same. Breach rings are better in POE2 in general, splinters are still sorely lacking per run, and the amount of grinding you have to do to get a boss fight is slower than a dead snail. It's only slightly worse, but they did nerf it so it's just got worse.
Expedition - In POE1 this was one of my favourite map things to do. You could get decent loot, varied, applied your own risk/reward and it paid off. The Expedition NPCs had infinitely better options for currency use, like buying currency from Tujen, crafting with Rog, chancing items with Gwennen, logbooks from Dannig.
Now they are all just Rog crafting but compartmentalised. However the number of crafts you get has been lowered so less chance of a good item. The grind for the currency to even do this takes way more hours than it used, making your time to craft ratio exponentially slower and more costly for less chance at any decent items. It isn't just worse, it's completely ruined and pointless.. even worse now you have to choose between spending currency on Rog crafting or Recombination at an even higher cost per hour.
Trial of the Sekhemas - In POE1 this was a solid way to either get specific items or a consistent currency for your time. Now you have to grind it for an hour to get one of the items to grind it for an hour to get one chance at getting an item which is less than 3% chance, and there is only one item worth it which has to roll RNG to even be worth more than an exalted orb. Several hours grind for mostly nothing. On average taking 50 hours plus, and a completely optimal build to run it with a no-hit success, to get a chance a tiny chance at an item that has a ridiculously infintessimal chance to roll a good items worth more than an exalted orb. Not to mention they replaced the Labyrinth with this, which had it's own loot table rewards that were worth doing, in order to ascend. It is worse.
Trialmaster - In POE1 this wasn't great, but in POE2 it is worse. I'm not even saying anything more on that except to say ascending through this path is practically pointless for the last two points until you barely need those two points.
Ascendancies - In POE1 these were pretty much the same with different variations of skill boosts for build defining effects. In POE2 you now are faced with a difficulty of getting the last two points, and quite a few of the ascendancies final two points are just filler with no bearing on how it affects your build so it's pointless on some builds to even get them. It is worse.
Pinnacle Bosses - In POE1 these were tiered into regular, uber and uber-uber. The progression to fight one was straight forward. You ran maps, and maps of a specific type or with a specific stat, that gave you the pieces of the puzzle to fight the boss. It was a consistent, albeit grindy, way to ensure you could fight a boss. Now we have the "infinite open world map" where you have to find citadels and do a map with a boss to get a piece. You previously had one chance to fight this boss after taking 50-100 hours plus to find one. There was no guarantee you would even find all 3 which you needed. If you fail the fight, you lose any chance to fight it again until you find another citadel. This means you had to grind 50-100 hours again to find one. And there are THREE of them to find. It has no respect for player time whatsoever and is purely RNG.
Let's say you finally do find all 3, do them successfully, and you are a couple of hundred hours in before you can fight the pinnacle boss. One shot and you die. All gone. People have already quit because of this. And all for a small chance to get an item worth more than an exalted orb. Sure if you hit the jackpot, gg. But it's a small chance after hundreds of hours. All just to get more power to grind it out again because that is all there is to do. It is worse.
Now I will say it again. POE1 players know better than you. You might enjoy the game, but it doesn't mean you understand the gameplay flow that Path of Exile has. We have all accepted the game is changed, we all wanted it to change, but we didn't want it to change for the worse. If you can't see that, and you find it funny people are angry whilst telling them to quit the game, then I suggest you take a look at yourself and ask... "Is my opinion correct or am I missing the information required to give the critical people a chance to express themselves and learn from it?". If you don't care, then nobody cares about you because you don't care about the game and have a completely invalid attitude.
Thanks for not reading all of this because I know you didn't.
