Arc changes
Probably supposed to use Arc for multi and some built-in weapon skill for single target. Who knows. They patched out choice all over the game. More choices = fun. They force specific mechanics/skills on players. Forced = not fun.
It's entirely confusing. As if whomever is making these decisions doesn't play arpgs. |

The problem with using Arc as a multi target/trash cleaning skill is that the thing it would need to do that, the extra damage from the shock explosions, requires another multitarget priming skill to actually shock them, thus allowing you to cause the explosions that could help clear out trash. Without those explosions the damage is weak by Act 2 in the campaign so I can't imagine how terrible this is going to be by the time I get to Cruel, let alone actually in Maps. Even when combined with Orb of Storms with increased Shock chance support, the actual shock chance is too low to really proc the shock explosions often enough. This leaves the only option for early campaign shock priming as Spark, but that's an entirely different build. The only other lightning spell this early on is Lightning Bolt, but that's only on staves, which VASTLY limits build options.
