Tame Beast issues

Hello! I’m running huntress and have tame beast. I’ve tamed 3. Whenever I add the beast gem I get a red exclamation mark next to it.I can summon the beasts (It’s just a percentage of my spirit) but when I do they have no abilities they are sorta just the base monster? Anyone know what I’m not understanding or doing right? I can’t find any pop ups or info as to what is wrong
