FUN versus RELIEF - SKILL versus FLUKE - PLAYER SURVEY

Quick Survey for you,

1: AFTER EACH ACT MAP: Do you feel you have had FUN in the ACT MAP or do you simply feel RELIEF that it's over? Example: RELIEF is maybe you feel each MAP completed is simply a countdown towards finally completing the ACT itself.

2: AFTER EACH ACT BOSS: Do you feel you have better SKILL for next time or did you FLUKE it? EXAMPLE: FLUKE means you would feel "unhappy" if you had to kill the Boss THREE TIMES IN A ROW (with no deaths) in order to complete each act.

3: EVERY MAP, EVERY BOSS, EVERY ACT, EVERY SEASON? YES OR NO?

4: YOUR COMCLUSSION

1: I haven't had fun. It is just RELIEF. The lack of useful LOOT drops along with the strength of the mobs mean I don't feel like I am getting stronger. The end result is I know I am heading to an ACT BOSS I will not be ready to defeat.

2: I FLUKED IT. I haven't learnt anything from any ACT BOSS. I know their mechanics, but they are random to me. If you then add the RNG of what items I may be wearing my ability to get past each act BOSS will always be a FLUKE.

3: I can't do this every season. Feeling RELIEF at completing maps and feeling I FLUKE every boss kill means it'll never reach the point of being FUN to me.

The whole "POWER FANTASY" of an ARPG is missing. I'm just fluking my way to the end game.

4: My conclusion is PATCH 0.2 achieved the worst thing possible. It made me want a SKIP CAMPIAGN button. POE1 makes you do the Campaign each season, but it isn't a slog of a campaign. The POE2 campaign without a "SKIP" button is going to be the largest deterrent for player retention.

It's crazy the game starts slow and surprisingly gets slower. Punishes you for not engaging with the mechanics, but then forces you into a boring rotation of cast move, cast move, cast move... ad nauseam
To the point of that feeling of relief you describe at the end of an map, encounter or act.
But there is an obvious audience who enjoys this playstyle, you just have to accept this game is not for us, it's for them. Whoever they are.
I don't personally know anyone who enjoys poe2, we've stopped playing.
If you're not enjoying the game, as a consumer, speak with your wallet.
If you don't get what you want out of it don't play.
This is the direction they're going and nothing we provide feedback on seems to change anything, so they have an audience and it's not us.
