Question about Trial of Chaos Help Plz

Did they change the boss fight in the Trial of Chaos so you can't restart/leave until you win the fight or die ? I remember i was able to leave boss room before (not 100% sure as most of the time the boss was easy)

I am playing Hardcore and i couldn't leave the trial
