Spectres recomendation?

Before anyone says, I know spectres sucks. I still want to hear if yall have found any particular spectre that stand out. What have you had more success with?

Also, is there any monster that gives charges?

The strong one would be Vaal Guards, the ones that throw grenade and create burning ground in Utzaal act3. They will destroy mobs and also your frame rate, haha.

there's still a lot to experiment with, but I don't think that there would be one that give charges. Spectres seem very limited in the type of player power they can bring. For example poison clouds from spectres can't be set on fire, monsters skill that are slams are not working as slams etc.

You can check Truditoru on youtube for some spectres showcase (also check for spreadsheet link in videos description), I found it nice to seem them in action in a somewhat controlled environment.

Playbale ones i personally tried and found viable at least throughout the campaign: projectile crabs from act 1, archers that spawn flowers act 1 ritual map, fireball mages act one map before manor, Vaal Guard grenade throwers act 3 Utzal.

Oh yes, the venomous crabs were my first choice too, they have some frost variant in endgame (tainted paradise?) IIRC, the A1 ones did decent but still worse than regular minions for me. More testing needed though.

I have had some success as a lich with cultist archers

So far, from the ones I tried, the following are the only ones that seem to do anything, assuming you focus mainly on them, if you mix and match other minions, stuff tends to get complicated and longer to test:

1. Cultist Archers. Found in Freythorn Act 1. Their chaos abilities clear pretty good, but the cooldown is a bit awkward. Low spirit cost.

2. Azak Fledgling. Found in Azak Bog Act 3 Their poison darts do decent damage. Low spirit cost

3. Filthy Crone. Found in Apex of Filth Act 3. These have a higher spirit cost and it's best to use them as support for other minions. Good for curses, rotates between 3 curses, and has some chaos projectiles.

4. Vaal Guard (grenade version). Found in Utzaal ACt 3. Best damage for low spirit cost. Their grenades scorch the entire screen (RIP FPS if you have a potato PC)
