strength requirement for spears

Not everyone is playing bleed. It is about allowing more build diversity by cutting unncessary requirement. No worries, you could still invest in STR for your build.

No it is absolutely not because that is the spot of the mercenary and the duelist that will come at some point.

huh? str doesnt effect bleeds? am i missing something?

Weapons are independent of classes. The OP assumption that huntress doesn't follow the design pattern is wrong, scepters need strength and is more associated to witch.

Sceptres are indeed a special case to be discussed but it does not make me wrong.

As it was pointed out already the skills for the spear have no strength requirement at all but very high dex. So they may be "indepedentent" of classes but not of the skills which is a weird design in this case.

Sceptres are not the weapon of the witch, because that is the wand. And also there are no skills you can only use while wielding a sceptre which makes it also different. Whether or not it makes sense they have a STR requirement, i actually dont want to discuss here because it is another topic.

For spears it definitely makes no sense at all and there is no argument yet for it.

INT = Wands, Staves
INT/DEX = Daggers, Quarterstaves
DEX = Bows, Spears
DEX/STR = Crossbows, Swords
STR = Maces, Axes
STR/INT = Flails, Claws

I watch a video by Lolipop the speed runner today. He put all Huntress Attribute points to strength as it has huge impact on the damage from the spear.

Doing that he did an Act 1 speed run in 35min.

My huntress is Lvl 15 but will look at what this may do for my current build.

he is most likely using rake with stomping ground support which scales with STR. Has nothing to do with spears.

Have to up this thread. I am level 10 and cannot use my spear because it requires 10 strenght...I am a huntress...wtf GGG, if you make spears with strenght req give strenght per level or spmething, that is just completely unnessecary and does not fit in any way. Now i have to click a random node that is not even on my way to get +5 strenght to then later spec out of it. Wow, great passive tree design. Feel the friction, uuuuhhhh yeah baby...

Also, i checked a leveling guide for twister...out of the 6 support gems only one is among the recommended??? what the hell does that tell us??? if you recommend sth make it close to optimal and not random recommendations to distract uninformed players...
