Trials of Sekhemas and GGGs idea of fun?

Just tried to get my 3rd ascendancy. Started out with 1850 honour, didn't have many idols yet so i have 35% honor resist.
Got to the middle of the 3rd floor with 1087 honour left. A rare monster, that jumped out of the ground right on top of me, hit me. The hit itself did around 500 honour damage and after the hit, my honour just kept ticking down from 500 to 0, like some sort of debuff. Is THIS what you call "fun" GGG? I'm actually not mad, but curious. I'm really trying hard to find the fun in this game, but it keeps evading me like a Mirror of Kalandra. Последняя редакция: Baroc#2678. I hear you m8, but really...i have no idea how much more this debuff would have ticket for, but that was 1087 honour gone from one monster with 35% honour resistance.

Literally came to forums just to check for these posts. I was so happy with the changes, had so much hope... and then I realized...
You still need to do this sanctum sh*t for ascendancy..... THIS IS AN ARPG, NOT A ROGUELIKE WHY WOULD I WANT TO PLAY SOMETHING THAT INVALIDATES HALF OF MY ******* CHARACTER? WHY IS THERE A MECHANIC THAT INVALIDATES DEFENSES. FOR ****** SAKES. |

It's early access and there's going to be an additional way to ascend eventually. That being said, it feels like they misled us by saying there'd be three ways and you could choose the one you wanted, because at the moment you obviously cannot escape ToS.

This must be something that was added in 0.2 because I was running sekhemas in 0.1 for currency farming when I got bored of maps and I never had any mob do this, even when using lvl 80 tokens.
Also your level only really matters in so far as the HP gains you get each level as HP and ES are what determine your honor level. I would suggest trying to get more HP and ES, running some lower level tokens for relics or buying some with honor res and max honor increases. |

Not criticizing, but curious... do defenses mitigate honor loss or is it "you get touched you lose honor?"
Couldnt a person say, stack evasion or energy shield to prevent honor loss? I generally run this dungeon as little as possible and dont pay attention as long as I am winning. When all is one and one all, to be a rock and not to roll

" Thx for the advice there. I will try for sure, but i don't even have room for more idols because i need to run a 3-floor trial to unlock them right? I just ran another 2-floor trial and switched some idols. All my idols have honour resistance now, i have no more room for idols and i'm sitting at 51% honour resistance. All in all this feels like a huge chore though i must say. And no, i don't like trials of chaos either ;) |

Trials are trash and everybody hate them. Not sure why this game is trying to be so bad so hard.
