Orb of annul doesn't lower rarity?

I can take off the last affix from an item but it doesn't lower its quality. It sucks, because it already denies a way to chance items.

Like we are already bathed in ways to control our crafting..

U understand how easy it would be to exploit certain things if that was possible. You would only need to find 1 base for what you are looking for if that were a thing, and u would be done farming. The answer is NO.

That's why everyone wants scouring orbs again.

And having rare items with 0 mods actually used to make sense, since it opened up the possibility for maximum number of mods crafted on, instead of only 2.

This is a relic of the past, of a better time.

Yes I agree a much better time. Crafting is dead. And is now a slot machine.
