Honest thoughts for PoE2

I'm gonna say it. The game feels like it has no clear direction on where it wants to go.

You have overtuned white mobs, overtuned bosses, bad crafting, etc.

There are many bugs in the game that were present at launch of Early Access that they've had time to fix. *EDIT* Bugs that should not be in the game at its current state with the time since EA launch.

The ability to gain ascension 3 & 4 is just not fun at all. The honor system is an arbitrary design that could honestly just be removed. Either I lose honor and die or I lose my health with 3/4 of honor left and fail the trial, its nonsense.

The campaign seems promising for what is currently there and I enjoy the Vaal actually being given some more lore and an appearance in the game. May just be a personal opinion, but I like the Mayan/ Aztec/ Inca influence the culture has.

The classes are kinda all over the place right now. Melee is all around bad gameplay, and I think the design choice is to keep them weak as to not have players swarm to those classes for the survivability they should be intended to have. Casters don't seem to be the glass-cannon they should be. Ranged is 50/50 depending on the route you wanna take.

The boss fights, where as some are fun (i.e. The Count, The Forgemaster are two of my favorite fights) most are downright bad and borderline annoying. The evasion mechanic being added is the reason for this. Instead of an ARPG its turned into a bad rendition of a souls-like game. The Viper fight is a good example of a mechanic where you need to time the roll exactly right for the i-frames to avoid the spears hitting you.

The reason why complex boss fights work in Diablo 4 and even Diablo 3 to an extent is because of the mobility that is given to the players' characters OR ability to have added mobility on their equipment or skills given to the class. PoE 2 at this point does not have that until late game when you've already thrown your sanity into the same bosses multiple times. The "get gud" community doesn't give constructive criticism to actual issues the boss fights have.

The game overall feels like they took what the majority of the player base hated from PoE 1 and cranked it up to 10. I feel the devs need to be doing less interviews and more problem solving on how to make the game better, the community has complaints and idea's that give feedback to the current state of the game that seem to fall of deaf ears and blind eyes. There's huge potential to have this game better than PoE 1, right now its kinda at a fork of being good or follow in Blizzards footsteps of a Diablo 3 launch. I don't believe with the success of PoE1 and the years of development up to this point that this game gets the "well its still early access" pass.
