"Crafting" on strongboxes need to be

Lately i ve been getting some research strongboxes which I decide to craft on by using a regal/exalt or alchemy orb yet they end up dropping 1, only 1 orb of augmentation.

Is this a bug because it definitely doesnt feel like a crafted box should give so little.

Doing this on console, i still havent figured out how to use a Orb on a box.
