Passive Skills with downside aren't really fun
When I level something, I want the upside.

It seems to be the common theme of POE2's game design philosophy that for every bit of enjoyment another bit of enjoyment has to be sacrificed.

The downsides to passive tree, skills, uniques... the vast majority of it makes absolutely no sense. It's wasted time that GGG has spent on their game for people to not even use certain items/upgrades simply because of the terrible downsides on them

" This isnt unique to POE2 at all. POE1 is loaded with punishment as well (the entire map mod thing is in no way designed to be player friendly - dont let IIQ and IIR fool you - yay you found another Wanderlust), and to be fair, considering how fast shit melts in POE1 and how much stuff lands on the ground, for the average person, amongst all that crap, is just the same ole useless shit over and over, and most of the economy is run by RMT. It's prolly half the reason that crafing benches and shit even made it into POE1, otherwise that crowd too would have packed 'er in and left long ago. Barring a few die hards, and the RMT crowd. Players have always been at the mercy of the pure RNG since the get go, with it very weighted against you. A big problem as i see it, is that they have purposely allowed all those low end suffixes and prefixes to be able to be on all the gear from start to the absolute highest end, and with it weighted so favorably towards the bullshit rolls, this has always been half the issue. Now, in this version, you have classes all split up into only being able to use certain items, and guess what, all those other class items still drop too... so its just layer after layer of dilution, odds stacked against you hugely, especially with GGG's tight firm "vision" always having to add extra punishment on the player. "That map mods have up and down sides is kinda duh. But that's not the complaint here. How many nodes on the tree that are not "Keystones" have a downside too? How many items have a downside too? How many ascendancy nodes have a downside too? The number of downsides and restrictions in PoE2 is insane. [Removed by Support]
