Has Volatile Plants become the new most annoying and frustrating mod on-death like mechanic?

I feel like as though every enemy that used to have on-death effects is now just spamming the world with Volatile Plants. It's super not-fun to play against. It area denies because you can't stop which messes over channeling players or just slow moving ones. It is AoE so you can't evade it without Acrobatics. And stays around after the caster dies if the slow moving orbs were summoned before death.

This modifier has become WAY too frequent in mapping and it's just making me clench my teeth every rare that has this mod. I feel like we've traded one crap thing we finally got some progress on for another one that took its place. It's not an ON death effect but it is an AFTER death effect.

Maybe despawn the orbs immediately if the rare with the modifier dies?

Volatiles were overtuned at the launch of 0.1 and were one of the first affix they nerfed. It was brought down to an acceptable level... for 0.1. In 0.2 they nerfed everything and brought down character speed and power but kept volatiles as they were (or didn't nerf them enough) so they are back in number one annoying affix.

I also agree that they should disappear the moment the mob dies. They changed all slow building explosion affixes to be like that, which is good, so volatiles should not be an exception.
