Additional benefits to clearing corruption?

Doryani has several lines of dialogue in which he references improving the machine (Recombinator?) when claiming the reward for clearing corruption, does anyone know if this actually helps improve the odds of the machine or has any actual, tangible benefit?

Not entirely sure, but the cleared map has chance for a boss that drop fracturing orb i think. Again not sure whether fracture orb can drop from all maps or just in corruption cleared maps

So far i only gotten a few of the fractured orb from bos in cleared maps, if this is true, it is a way to farm that currency early i guess
