Endgame is WORSE, not better
I'm a level 88 and have spent about 3 divines on equipment. I have been one-shot three times in a row in the trials of chaos and each time it was not projected. Completely unfair. I have to beg the maps for currency. Because I'm not playing a meta build, everything is brutal. I'm melee, and monsters jump from off-screen all the time. They are arranged to stun shot me before I can see them, and then I get pounced on. I can't get my final ascendancy points despite my build being as good as many posted online endgame builds. I had so much fun last league because there were ways to overcome things. You could kill much quicker, which compensated for the cheap mechanics of the endgame. I am totally okay with having less damage if I am not one-shot in the cheap and infuriating ways that keep happening. I was in the 9th room of the trials of chaos today and - not a lie - an explosion occurred that had no warning whatever and my character died. I had cleared the room, explosion, and I just wasted 30 minutes of my life. That feeling is impossible to overcome: that the game designers don't respect your time and relish in cheap difficulty.
I've been in endgame for probably 20 hours and I don't feel any stronger. Spending endless currency to moderately increase your strength while still instantly dying is absolutely unforgiveable. I have played ARPGs and souls games forever. None feel this unfair. The investments you make in other games dramatically improve your character strength. In this game, you don't get that unless you engage in lame meta BS. What is the ethos of this game design? It is absolutely demoralizing to feel like you played as good as you should have to in order to ascend and then die suddenly. Yet this happens ALL THE TIME. I even spent an hour today rebuying equipment with life rolls, wasting all of my currency because it mattered not at all. I am not a wilting gamer. I love the challenges of other games that are fair and reward progression, like souls. This game makes progression feel like masochism. It's hard to conceptualize what the designers are thinking. And I just learned the volatiles, and other penalties in the trials, are even more difficult and stunlock you. Seriously, this is maybe the stupidest direction to difficulty I have seen in recent history by a premier studio.

It is entirely luck based. I've found 3 citadels yet I've found only 7 corruptions which is insane BS. Citadels by design are tier 15, the corruptions require me to clear tier 7-8 maps. Let me explain the way GGG operates:
- they made it easier to sustain maps - however, this is not good because the game must be HARD, this is THE VISION - so they put an arbitrary gate behind getting Atlas skill points It is always one step forward and 2 steps back with them Последняя редакция: Johny_Snow#4778. actually , it's not diffcult to find corruptions.
If you look at tower in fog carefully,some tower will surrounded with corruptions in fog,just size up and look |

I've done circles around my starting position. Several screens in every direction in fact. So no, even if I was looking for pixels in the fog this still doesn't mean that the corruptions would be close by

i and my friends finish all node in 3 screens after we learn to find by tower in fog,i don't know whether it's luck

When you look for nexuses they do show up but I had to trawl to a few through long areas with no towers, it wasn't fun or interesting
I'm still only at 12+ quest though they are not common enough |

if you guys use some are area skill with control,nothing can be worried
my warcry warbringer,with knockback and stun,can easily finish 82-map with 1 button,up to lv94,only died for twice. my earthshake titan,with stun and enough area,can do samething like that even spark that be nerfed to ground can do this with Electrocute |
