Recombinator - Feedback

So I've been trying to craft a good mid/endgame weapon using the recombinator given the fact that omen are too rare/expensive and I can't get essences. After a good 10 hours of expedition, picking up rare with good roll, I tried to craf a good piece of equipment.

Here some of my thougth about the proces.
1. Price are too steep
Asking around 25 artefacts is really a lot if you don't/can't trade and one can not target farm them except logbooks
2. Odds are too low
3. Both Bases being destroyed is beyond frustrating and too time consumming
4. You should be able to recomb fractured mods
5. You should be able to pay more for a better outcome
6. Whe recomb fail, you should get a base of the same level, with 1 of the 2 or more suffix/prefix that you wnated to combine
