The mobs in this map, especially the hags, are highly cold resistant. That's why you're doing no damage.

You need to be taking cold resist penetration nodes, and basically every cold build should have a frost bomb setup for occasions like this.

Anyway, I agree with what you said about PoE 1 support and I think it creates lots of grievances. That's probably GGG's biggest blunder letting PoE 1 support dwindle.

This is no different than other maps. And again this is act 3, there are really no available penetration nodes except 12%. Frost bomb is a sorc skill that requires high int to be effective at level 10 (84 int) and if you build that then you have no dex to do damage or run the spear skills.

The devs dont want you using frost bomb. Perhaps they want people to switch out entire builds per zone they are in, they want me to maybe use rake and bleed here, buit shor to entire tree respeccing that is not possible. My guess is you wanted only 1.30 minutes of the video. The ohters in that playlist show the same thing. And those mobs are NOT highly cold resistant.

My guess is you are playing trade league and a meta skill like lightning arrow, saying "this is fine" but you are playing a build that GGG thinks is OP.

You traded. You played in a group. Most customers font do that. Id bet money, also, you are using lightning spear. Its one of a very FEW skills "that work". The problem is, GGG doesn't like the way lightning spear works. They will nerf it very hard. Look at the spark players from last time and ask them about that.

Yeah I mentioned I traded once and played in a group. Try it sometime its fun and much harder with more players sometimes. I run solo as well. With the way loot drops now I'd probably never trade anymore.

Also I have never used lightning spear so you would have lost that bet. I use Whirling slash/lance,spear throw and disengage with Herald of blood, companions and combat frenzy. Fun build makes things explode into bloody salsa.

You can use rank 1 frost bomb, which requires 1 int, it still applies cold exposure. Alternatively you could just support a skill with cold exposure since Amazon has high crit.

I'd be interested in seeing your PoB, it would reveal more than a video.

Dude, listen. Some builds will be weaker and some will be stronger, it's ridiculous to expect that every single thing you want to try will have the same power as some meta build.
If you choose to just use the specific cold skills you want and bash your head against the wall trying to build around it, then you better be willing to accept that it will be an uphill battle, especially if you're not trading to get some specific uniques.

Speedrunners clear first 3 acts under 3 hours, also with no trade. Now, obviously not everyone is that good or experienced, but it just shows you that it's possible.
So if your complaint is simply "I can't make this work, devs fix it", you (and others like you) are the reason why games these days are made for toddlers cause god forbid some entitled loser who paid money to play it can't possibly beat it on first try. Bet you'd complain about original Radahn in ER too

If you can't make it work yourself while everyone else is sweeping through pinnacle bosses, and you don't want to look up guides for help because you want to figure it out yourself, you can't have such a fragile ego and whine about your own inadequacy as a result.
You're either smart enough to crack the numbers and make a good build, or you accept help and read a guide by someone who can. What's the confusion?

Its not good or experienced. No experience will make FOF hit more enemies or do more damage. You BOUGHT a build crafted by someone else, obviouslyu a screen clearing meta build and, guess what, according to GGG its YOUR BUILD that was broken. Now if you ask on the forums NOBODY plays lightning spear but the reality is north of 70% of the player base plays lightning spear.

This video is what happens when you play the game the way the DEVS INTENDED. They will nerf the crap out of your build next league. It will be dead. They don't want you clearing acts in 3 hours. They want the campaign to take 25 to 30 hours. They have said this REPEATEDLY. But now you play a meta screen clearing build and say "whats the problem?" You just don't get it.

P.S. I beat original Radahn. But then this game has NOTHING in common with Elden Ring and anyone trying to mix the two is nuts. I even beat Sekiro and that makes Elden Ring look easy. That game and this one have nothing in common.

Everyone is sweeping through pinnacle bosses with builds that GGG are going to orbital blast with a nuke. Just ask the folks last league playing infernalist minions or spark or gemling or any of the other builds that got nuked from orbit.

The point of this post is GGG is in your face about saying YOUR build is broken and MY build is the way they want it played. I think that will kill this game and I am highlighting the problem.
