Omen of Amelioration and XP loss threads.
I second this thread. In 0.1 I didn't know about OoA and dying felt really bad. Now I always have an omen active and the rare occasional death doesn't matter at all anymore.

" Look, lets use your numbers even though they might have some bias. If you need 7 maps to level up, it means a map would give you ~14%. Thus, you can regain 10% in around ~70% of a map. Lets say, you can clear a map in what? 8 min in average? Those 10% XP would be like a little bit than 5 min and a half of gameplay. How often are you dying for those 5min and a half to bother you? I mean, sorry if it sounds elitist but I can't see how it can be a problem, seriously. I can understand people complaining on higher lvl, when they would lost hours of progress, but 5 min? At that tier of maps, there are no omens for XP loss. I've probably done close to a hundred maps, I've seen maybe 4 or 5 omens, total.
Speaking of numbers, you're probably very optimistic in terms of how fast I clear maps. But it doesn't even matter. Losing progress just FEELS terrible. Every time. Especially after a campaign that doesn't have it. | |
" It doesn't have level restriction to spawn. You can find them since T1. It can be debatable how rare they are, but choosing to play on SSF and complaining about how hard is to find something doesn't make any sense. It was your choice after all. And if you've seen "only 4 or 5 omens (any kind)" in 100 maps, that just means that you are skipping ritual encounters. It is garantee that at least one would spawn. That Omen is pretty cheap on trade league though, so it wouldn't be a problem for most players. Regardless, as I said, your rant sounds exagerated even without the Omen at that level. |

" My point, really. Complete lack of empathy. Can't consider people play the game differently. Can't realize people have had different experiences in a game that relies so heavily on random elements. Anyway! :) I've made my point. I think the game has immense potential. I don't tend to argue with strangers on the Internet because it's mostly pointless, the fact I'm doing it shows I care. I think GGG needs to work on onboarding more smoothly casual into the endgame. I believe XP loss is an aspect of it. Hopefully, with enough of those thread, it will improve :) | |

" They prevent 75% and not the 100%. 8-12ex is a lot for casual player If everyone will start using them, it will go up too |
