TalkativeTri's Podcast with Jonathan Rogers
" So you know the ins and outs of NZ working laws and immigration pretty well. Why don't you go and work there then? |

" When you will understand that this is BETA what we play right now here in POE2 ? When you will understand that the devs who made the great POE needed few years to get in that same position which is now ? you think everything can be happen for few weeks or few months? No! IT takes time! POE2 will be completely different game in a 2 or 3 years from now and will be amazing. Dont dare to compare blizzard with GGG! Последняя редакция: Abelra#1363. Thank God Jonathan stated that he knows the endgame infinite atlas is bad. He also explained why it still exists: He likes the idea and is trying to make it work. But he also seemed to indicate that it might get scrapped if they can't get it to work.
Personally, I don't see a solution that makes it work. More power to them to try, but I'm hoping it gets scrapped sooner rather than later. |

" I think there a some solutions, or you could get closer to the solutions by identifying fundamental problems with the atlas right now. Towers are the biggest determining factor of how Atlas feels. Towers can be described in a few simple words: inflexible, random, time consuming. Special events on the map: Citadels, Corruption, special maps. The amount of rewards we get from these largely depends on towers and luck finding them. Waystones and maps - reward from running them comes from towers and using good waystones. The common factor in all of these is randomness and lack of flexibility. This theme goes against the feeling of progression. The rate limiting factor of running rewarding content is the amount of useless maps you need to do. So we are in a position where atlas is inflexible and ability to run rewarding content is limited by multiple factors that are out of the player's control - rng and the amount of unrewarding content. If these things can be addressed the infinite atlas could be a thing. There are other problems as well atlas mechanics are not well tuned to what players can do. Time limited mechanics go against the idea of slow and combo based gameplay leaving you with the feeling that you didn't get enough from them and you can't do much about it. The list unfortunately goes on. |

" You have to understand that this is now a big company with many employees and experience. Poe 1 started from scratch every idea was new, poe2 is just poe1 with better graphics and 1/20 of the content. And it is in development for many years now. Learn before you post garbage here |

" How is poe2 poe1, when all the complainers complain, that poe1 is better than poe2? You're pretty much dismanteling your own 'argument' here. |

" I would justify the entire mapping phase post Act 3 as a prelude to Act 4, where you are mapping in search of the starting point for Act 4. |

" Good, then suggest that massive amount of work to GGG as ask if you can implement that for them. It will be completely useless, since the regular acts will replace them anyway. Not to mention the rebalancing of waystones. |
