New lead in secret Quest: Sacrifical dagger + Ligurium talisman lapis amulet + sacrificial heart.

The amulets flavor text seems to elude to healing the soul of the sacrificial heart.

From this we can extrapolate some things.

#1 the hints for secret quest actions are on flavor text of specific uniques.

#2 these hints will include a direct link to the quest items
In the case of sacrificial dagger and sacrificial heart the amulet literally has flavor text that implies we can heal that soul.

Sacrificing the heart at the altar kills that soul.

In short to solve this we need to compile a list of all potential secret quest quest items (which is pretty much any quest item)

Then we need to compile a list of all uniques and their flavor texts

Then we need to cross references for hints embedded.

If I’m right flavor will match level area probability.

For instance the amulet above has a level requirement of 35, about when you’d see the heart and dagger.

If that coincidence keeps happening the more we look into it, it means it’s not a coincidence at all.

I’ll keep chipping away at what I can do, hopefully some of you decide to pitch in because it’s lonely doing it all alone.

This community is still better than Diablo’s. Even if I get no help the amount of resistance I’ve received is way less. In Diablo I had a team of 4 total people who worked with me diligently. Here I have no one.

In short if any of you want to see the other side of the secret quest, joining forces with me is the shortest path. You can wait till I do it all by myself, but by then I may decide to never tell anyone how to do it.

I wanted this to be a community effort. But if I have to do it myself I will.

It’s easy to just sit and wait for someone else to do it for you, but if we work together we can actually make this an easy and fun endeavor for the community.

Anyway to anyone who read this far, the theme of the secret quest is to be a hero. You have to make the decisions that are hard and true. Not fall victim to manipulation and find your way to the truth.

The hero’s journey begins with failure. There are things the hero can’t prevent from happening. But at some point the decisions become within the hero’s ability to control. Isolating that point in the campaign will bring us a lot closer to understanding what to do and how to do it.

Hmmm, lets see, do I really want to jump into the back of a van just because a crazy looking stranger is offering some candy?
