End game still a joke.
" This is feedback that will help GGG make the game better. That's what early access is for. Right now PoE2 has too many issues that prevent us from enjoying the game. And people come to the forum because the game has a lot of problems, and the game design does not provide answers to many questions. Последняя редакция: zim289#0226. Время: 27 июн. 2025 г., 15:24:32

Is it still a big ugly Gambling Simulator?
I have already stopped playing for a while already. I'm now knee-deep in Mechwarrior 5: Mercenaries, with plenty DLCs on sales right now. MW5, is less of a Gambling Simulator lol. If I want high Tier weapons, I just need to up my reputation, accept riskier contracts and whack high difficulty maps. It will have lesser low tier stuffs and much more T3 or T4 or max Tier weapons, equipment and heavier mechs for salvage at the end of the mission. MW5 don't crash my system and my CPU + GPU is better utilized to deliver quality gameplay, UNLIKE POE2. I play games to enjoy achievable moments after a gruelling day job. I seek Fun and entertaining titles. I get it some people enjoy hardship and punishments and perhaps the current state of POE2 is for you. At least 75% of D2 fans I've seen already left this game. This is one reason why. (There's still 5% loving the bad gambling element in POE2) See, https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3788024/page/1 Also, an older post. (I still came back using LS Amazon after suggestion from my friend, which eventually exposed more issues of the game as Gambling Simulator) See, https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3768316/page/1 |

Is EA supposed to mean a well-polished endgame? I think there are games that are already released and still needs a decent endgame or massive improvements in endgame.

Honestly, I'd rather a game have no endgame at all than one that actively undermines the experience. A bad endgame doesn’t just disappoint, it unravels everything that came before it. It turns excitement into fatigue, discovery into routine, and effort into frustration.
You finish a great campaign, feel invested in your character, and then hit a wall of convoluted systems, loot you can't use, crafting you can't access, and trade you can't rely on unless you're constantly dealing with third-party sites. That’s not “depth”, that’s a design failure. And worse, it makes you retroactively regret the time you spent getting there. At this point, I’d take a tight, complete ARPG experience with zero endgame over another PoE-style post-campaign grind where the “endgame” feels more like a punishment than a reward. PoE2 was their chance to evolve, instead, it feels like they’ve just dressed up the same problems in a new engine. Последняя редакция: Burn4#0434. Время: 5 авг. 2025 г., 21:21:53

jeeze, people crying about other people crying during an EA.
Objectively, End game is meh. Atlas doesn't have anything really meaningfully intriguing. Drops aren't exciting, gambling often nets better gear than crafting, which is basically gambling with worst odds. Sitting at 4 characters in 0.2, 1 trade, 3 SSF. Trade is basically hideout/whisper/trade sim. SSF was fun for awhile since I was trying to do drop only. For SSF, no gear upgrades after ~70-75 and random deaths from lag/stutter/off screen mobs have me pretty burnt out from the game. I'll likely still try the new league as a long time fan of POE but would be nice to see some clarity in what this game is aiming to achieve cause End Game is a hodgepodge and without much direction. |
