You're missing out if you don't check PoE1 new league
All the people that came into this community with PoE2 launch only to see it through VISION™ - now is the perfect time to see what this game REALLY is, come play in the new PoE1 league. Play at least through the campaign, check out the endgame, skills, mechanics and synergies, see what "crafting in poe" actually means, see Heist, Delve and other stuff then come back into PoE2 and compare.
If you never did experience PoE1 and only play PoE2, you'll be amazed what it could be instead of.. well, the what it is right now. You know why all PoE2 skills show those example animations of skills in use on zombies? Cause that's the slowest mob in game, cause against 90% of other monsters they won't look so pretty and many combos just lose any sense when you're getting facerolled by a crowd of mobs hitting you multiple times per second and running to you faster than a jet plane crossing sound barrier. That said in PoE1 it just all works and skills work and combos work and well just go see for yourselves. This league is perfect for it. Last bumped16 июн. 2025 г., 11:15:40

PoE 1 is too zoomy. Too fast movement, too fast action speed, whole screen-explode loot piňata - No thank you.
People know exactly what they are missing out. The game has been out over a decade. Zooming and no challenge simply attract way less players. You obviously like it, but trying to gather more people by posting on a PoE 2 feedback forums isn't gonna change the fact that PoE 2 is far better and more popular due to it's focus on meaningful combat and slower gameplay. Oh boy, look at the steam numbers. They talk. Now, let's keep working on PoE 2 with the initial vision. Slow it down a bit more, endgame is too PoE 1-like, too zoomy and people are dropping there... as we see, players prefer to have a meaningful combat. |

no thanks
POE 2 got serious performance issues. And so far the devs don't do anything about it or can't do anything about it. Either way it is very bad!

No, don't think I will. Rather watch grass grow.

Upper comments are illustrating core "problem" between main mass of poe 1 and poe 2 players. Yep, there are also some both games players (hello).
As for me, poe 2 still expected by part of poe 1 worshippers (in a good way) to be "poe 1 on new engine with wasd (optional) and dodge", and in most got same design problems. But it is not. It is should be another expeirence. The way and the point still not clear, but I believe it going to evolute a lot. I like complexity and swarm of mechanics of first part, but it may be not the best way for second. For example it's may be a right way to focus on skill-weap combination, but work with supports in another way. And so on. Thats what "vision" about, at my sight. And it's quite interesting to see where it goes (when there are no all-day DCs, yep) |

I played tons of PoE1 since beta in 2011 and now I moved to PoE2. I'm fully aware the game is in development and is lacking the 10+ years of content PoE1 has so my expectation and judgement towards PoE2 is different than PoE1; both games are not really comparable.

Getting one-tapped by mecs in maps is not exactly an "amazing" experience... That being said, POE 2 still has a long way to go.
