Movement speed and new movement runes are disappointing, xp loose is just too much.

I finally got the new movement speed runes, and while I was genuinely excited after the long grind to farm two of them, the end result was pretty underwhelming. I spent a good amount of time and several divines getting two-socket boots with decent (but not great) resistance rolls and the standard 35% movement speed… only to feel almost no real difference in-game.

It was especially frustrating while farming Trial of Shekemas—ironically one of the only places where, with the right buffs, you do briefly feel like your character is actually moving. But outside of that, the 5% per rune (even doubled) barely registers.

I'd love to try for a full 20% extra movement speed, but realistically, boots with 100% socket effect, two sockets, 35% movement, and usable stats are going for literal hundreds of divines. How are players affording this? I play a lot, and even then, it feels completely out of reach unless I hit something like a mirror drop—maybe even two. It’s disheartening, to say the least.

On top of that, as I’ve mentioned several times already, the death penalty is incredibly hard to swallow—especially when omens that are supposed to prevent most of the XP loss simply don’t work. After the disappointment with the runes (which also forced me to sacrifice some life to fit them into my boots), I ran some maps, got stunned, died, and the omen didn’t activate—I lost 10–15% XP, which amounts to 3–4 hours of grinding with a 3-tower XP setup.

Then, literally right after respawning, the game lagged, I died again—still no omen activation—and I dropped from around 78% XP all the way back to 60%. Now imagine this happening two or three times over—it completely stalls progress and can lock you at the same level for two or three weeks. It’s just not sustainable or enjoyable.

This made me close the game.

I wear the 'Thorns have +25% Critical Hit Chance' boots with only 1 socket (giving resists) and 19% MS. Max MS isn't that important. If you want more cheap speed toss Atlas points into Shrines and zoom through every other map with the Acceleration buff.
