4 Month A Season Makes POE2 Dead
" I've been playing PoE for like 7 years now, and I've had a full-time job that whole time. So I would disagree. |

Seems alive to me. I can trade, talk with my pals etc.

" That's a pretty flawed way to look at it, don't you think? By that logic every game should have millions of players just because there are billions of people. Most of those 7 billion don't even have gaming PCs, let alone interest in ARPGs. 10K concurrent for early access is actually decent numbers, especially considering the price point and genre. |

" Nope, I like to sit and think about possible options to build around. This league a lot of my builds got killed by a ricochet of nerfs. There is not enough viable abilities to even theorycraft atm. we have more and more limitations of synergies. Ascenancy trees are mostly boring or come with a drawback you need to play around to even use the spec. I dont need fresh. I need a lot of viable combinations to have fun. |

" Play standard. I'm in SSF and half the gear I'm saving now is for my next character. If 0.3 wipes the economy, I'll play SSF standard and keep the gear. |

Economy will be wiped in next league. Not in update.
If you think it thru, resetting economy middle league will give ursupers MORE ways to exploit people. Or you think it will reset all gear and inventories too? |

" Oh wouldn’t it be so fun if I had to redo all my warbonds on Helldivers. Wouldn’t it be so fun if I had to regrind al my equipment on Warframe. Wouldn’t it be so fun if I had to restart at junior position and pay. Wouldn’t it be so fun if I have to rebuild my place. No. |

New league is fresh start. New mechanic, new goods, new gear etc. That's what makes it good. And that it ends eventually.
just pushing stuff to stantard every 4 months would be meaningless. If you want stuff to be meaningless, you are playing wrong game. Or are wrong playing anythng, to be precise. Meaningless=Worthless. |

The reason POE 2’s player numbers dropped so dramatically is rooted in a mismatch between its marketing and its design philosophy. When it launched, the game was promoted to attract a broad player base—but its actual “vision” caters almost exclusively to the top 1% of elite players. Because the original POE was so successful, POE 2 drew in a massive audience. But once players realized the game wasn’t built for them, most left.
The real question now is whether that top 1%—those who remain—spend enough money to sustain the game. That includes not only in-game shop purchases, but potentially also real-money transactions through item farmers (which POE may be indirectly profiting from, depending on how the system is set up). |

" Dude, lol. XD You work for blizzard? This happens in every league in Poe1. When league starts, there are more players. They COMPLETE the league, get lvl 100, kill biggest bosses or so. And wait for next one. |
