A MIRROR for every player turning level 100

This is your (and mine, and my neighbor) problem that you did not get a good loot. Because if EVERYBODY would get it - that loot became "trash"... as game itself - meaningless.


Yeah ok the Mirror should not become a more common drop. I'm not saying increase the drop rate. Though maybe a tad would be a good thing.

With my suggestion The Mirror will be seen as the best prize of all, not a common thing at all. I think it gives also a clear goal or purpose to get to the end. Cause right now getting to 100 seems like some ludicrous challenge that lunatics like me want to try and get. Most people are frustrated I think because we get punished with XP Loss yet without a real reward.

Even in the Souls game that I played a lot, after 1k + hours, you butcher the game because you EARNED it. With a Mirror as a reward it would also allow people to regear and crush the game and keep playing for satisfaction. It would be WELL DESERVED.

Keep the drop rate as it is but offer ONE chance to get it through MERIT. Cause let's face it, dropping a Mirror is like winning the big prize at the lottery, it never happens, maybe to a couple of persons on the planet.

It won't change much the life of HC SSF pLayers, if anything you could use the Mirror as an orb to duplicate strategically a ring, it could still be beneficial.

Granting a mirror for reaching level 100 would desecrate the sanctity of mirrors. It's meant to be the rarest possible find in poe. ever. making it a trophy reward for crossing a finish line ruins that.

Speed leveling groups would become the most profitable form of gameplay.
People content staying at level 95-99 would feel compelled to grind content they dont enjoy for an unreasonably grand prize.

The allure of always having something better to find is the whole point of a loot based rpg. garunteed rewards should never be the highest/rarest/most sought after items.

I think that it increases the value of the item because reaching lvl 100 is the most difficult challenge of this game.

In any game, when you have a great challenge you have a great reward.

The fact that anybody can find it, with extreme luck, for me doesn't give value to the item. It's just luck. No pride in luck. No fairness in luck.

+ the goal of a game is to finish it. Right now it feels that level 100 is not even really considered, it feels almost out of this game. it would be actually good to have farming parties, it would encourage people to play in groups.

Right now this game is very isolating.

So no, I still believe that's a very valid idea to give a purpose to a really long and challenging grind and gives even more value to the Mirror.
They should definitely do something to incentivize getting to 100, but I would rather have it be mechanics that are fun and engaging, and not a silly "mirror" as a prize. I should have enjoyed getting to 100, there should have been progressively better awards at every level from 95+ to make it worthwhile.

It's about the journey and not just the destination and there very little journey from 92 to 96 and 0 from 96 to 100.

Well, yeah there are things to upgrade the journey too for sure. Works with having a prize at the end of it as well.

For me that's a sign the game is not finished. It's an early access so that's normal hence my suggestion
Only if it was bound to account/character, so this way you can't sell it, you have to use it. But from what I learned of the way GGG does their thing, they will NEVER do this.

GGG seems to have this old mentality that you have to suffer to get anything in return and in PoE2 that anything is just a gamble roll. Not a fan.

The only argument I read so far is that it might reduce the value of the Mirror.

It's debatable. Reaching lvl 100 is extremely difficult as we all know and very few make it.

Is value linked with luck? I don't think so. It should be linked with merit while offering a proper ending to the game. Hell, the mirror could even have a Lore accurate signification in the story.

Why would you say no when you could have a mirror with merit. I don't get it.

I don't see the point of an item if nobody or almost can have it.
