for once, I tried to participate (I'm not at all a HC player so I stopped early).
When I saw the sort of Maven's rays turning around Malachai, I didn't even try more than once. I have a big issue with avoiding things with that view. I can't precisely know if my character will touch or not the rays.

So, I reached the level 50 then I stopped.

Sounds like it was similar as to when I tried it in Autumn 2024 ?

I had no idea what to expect besides it being probably a hard fight, so I grinded until lvl 50 in the area before.

I had never seen that mechanic before, though it seemed obvious that touching these flappy bird tubes would be a bad idea.

I guess it might be tricky to understand the hitboxes depending on the angle, but I don't remember this being as much of an issue as to what killed me :

The first part of the fight was going well... until the damn Piety scared me with her balls
(that I could tank well enough with this character, but tried to avoid on reflex)
into the tubes.
