Merchant tabs 0.3 needs to be delayed before release?

I think it’s ridiculous that we have to convert our stash tabs into merchant tabs.

This really needs to be reconsidered before release, and a permanent solution should be found. For example, move all players’ items into the merchant system but still give us our normal stash tabs back, instead of converting our premium tabs.

If someone’s items are in the merchant, they should simply be able to disable a tab from selling or being public. That alone would solve the problem.

Another option: keep players’ tabs in their stash and let the merchant spawn the item when another player requests it. Why should I have to interact with the merchant every time I want to place an item? That completely goes against the purpose and power of premium tabs. Once a buyer takes the item from the merchant, it should automatically be removed from my stash so I can reuse the space.

And honestly, why even show a giant “garage” or storage full of items to other players? Sure, it might be useful if someone is selling an entire build package, but most of the time it’s just annoying for buyers to scroll through hundreds of pages to find what they want—unless you at least fix it so the correct tab opens automatically when they teleport to the seller’s hideout.

The system as it stands now definitely needs major improvements before release. I absolutely refuse the idea of being forced to interact with a merchant NPC while my premium tabs are converted into NPC tabs.

Well, obvious decision would be to let merchant just work with item listed in stash. But some items should be traded manualy.

One problem is that 2 trade system will be working simultaneously.
Other problem that there is no auction so if you made a mistake and put low (very low) price you just lose your item for free.

How to make it right:
1. Leave just new system with auction and maybe even in-game price sugestions.
2. Let just uses premium tabs without convertion.

Unfortunatelly every new coming content need to be improved in next patches....So dont expext everything work properly from the very beginning.

This is a feature more than content!
This feature should have been in the game since 0.1. It should have been planned as a main system in the game.

The problem is recycling POE1 to make POE2. They are not doing all things right and bringing new features so easily compared to reusing old content.

All reasonable feedback for ways to improve the system.

But saying it needs to be delayed because of those gripes you have with it is quite frankly so out of touch it's comical.

The proposed system is literally a 100X improvement vs. the current trade system, delaying it for minor modifications here and there to how stash tabs are handled is completely brain dead.

I expect we'll see a ton of push back against the new trade system over the coming days. All the botters and scammers will be coming out of the woodwork trying to make up reasons and gain support to delay / kill it, as then they'd actually have to play the game again.

I hope it's going to be possible to convert tabs back and forth at will, preferably in-game.
Aside from that I have no problem with this system.
The small tedium of going back and forth from the stash to the merchant is nothing compared to the surge in quality of life on trading.

Also, kind of reaching here but I think it would be fair from ggg to give everyone 1 free trader tab by default.

I got mixed feeling, hope old trade functionality for browsing on trade website is disabled by default because price fixing with old system (low price without intention to sell) baiting ppl to list items cheap in the new system might be a thing?

Idk, it‘s the biggest change in this patch (for any non SSF player) and really curious how it‘ll play out

Well, I don't think they are planning to make it back and forth as you suggest, which can cause more issues later.

Also, putting time to make it back and forth would be the same as putting time to make it right.


In the end, we all agree that the system is not ready and they need to delay it or satisfy the players in a better way.

No, we do not all agree that it is not ready for bringing into the game, I do not agree.

This is a much needed change and when people find out about it they will come back in droves. The trading system and economy was in a right shambles and i cannot wait for this to go live.

Too many listing items cheaply, never going to sell, which just wasted everyones time. Great that you can actually buy something at the listed price, even when they are offline!!! this is a huge game changer.

As for converting tabs, don't be a cheapskate and buy a couple extra if it matters that much to you. The game is free so it is a good way to support future development.

Now if they could only change that horrible end game mapping UI I would be in heaven.!!!!

don't be a cheap skate ? i have 87 premium stash tabs that i don't use because i buy quad tabs now ....

When will we be able to convert these ?
