Auction house will destroy economy until you add this option
tl;dr at the end of the post
GGG first, thanks for a good season, going right direction, I'm having fun overall, especially with the added auction house but there is one big issue with it that destroys the economy - market flippers that actually demotivate me for doing crafts for people to USE my items not just to buy out, spike price and turning the auction house into corporate greed. Please add an option when you set an item on a merchant that "This item will be untradeable after being bought" - make items untradeable as an option for crafters like me who actually make items for fun with good pricing, so somebody can USE the item, not for somebody to grab the item and then resell it for 10x prices, destroying the economy. I usually charge 10-15% of craft cost, just fair prices for people who just want to play the game and afford decent items; it's win-win for both sides of the market. For example, I made 5-7 div bows that cost me maybe 1-4 div depending on RNG to make - dude bought them all and set up to 20-25 div price, this is ridiculous because two sides of players lose. I do not feel motivated to craft decent gear for people to have fun, and other people don't see the point of buying those. tl;dr Add an option to lock items as unsellable after someone buys them, as the auction house will destroy the economy in the long term. Very good idea, I hate flippers so much.

" Thanks, same. If you want to flip, go buy items from "free" trade or in person. I would say Auction House/Merchant House should always be free from flippers every item sold in merchant house or thru merchant should not be eligible for retrade. In person trade you do whatever you want. Or at least give us ethical crafters an option to set items as not tradeable after use to feed casuals and have a small chunk of profit for fun |

+1
I wholeheartedly dislike PoE 2 direction of itemization if they keep pushing this type of combat-flow. Either make the game focus on the combat entirely, meaning streamlining gearing process but not to the point of it feels like a give-away, OR completely delete PoE 1 and make PoE 1 as PoE 2. Like seriously, this game have identity crisis. PoE 1 itemization and crafting doesn't go well with the current combat system. If I'm expected to be always putting efforts and at least 90% of my brainpwoer in daily mapping and bossing, then I expect to be rewarded in a guaranteed way of powering up my characters, not layers of RNG. Even when the current crafting system is already in the right direction, the game still need major overhaul in combat and reward. If the whole game still is structured just the same like PoE 1 in which almost all aspect of the game is very dependent on trading and loot, having an actual free-market where intervention from authority very minimal, almost no trade policy between players unless breaking ToS, and yet making the players to also have to put alot of efforts in order to be not punished and losing time / resources investment in every gaming season of either mapping or bossing, then this game gonna be cooked and will still being a small niche title. There is a reason on why, almost all if not most of game, that focus on action and combat gameplay, have their itemization to be streamlined. Souls series don't have this kind of itemization, Monster Hunters franchises don't force players to "craft" individual stats on equipment, same with Sekiro, Black Myth Wukong, and all others these action-combat focused game. There needs to be compromise in all of these aspects in PoE 2, and if GGG wants to keep the current gearing / itemization and combat flow, then resources and items trading need to be regulated stricter than now. Start on implementing on account bound items since trading friction is removed, or people will just do whatever the f they want at the cost of everyone else's enjoyment. |

This feature would also help combat bots that snipe items constantly

This is a great idea. Especially since it can be an option. Is there any reason this could be bad?

Trade should be modified to real currency transaction from GGG website (no transactions between players).
Now this system destroy gaining and forcing people use third part web pages. this is so far the worst system created in ARPG games. |

I am skeptical of how much it will really help "the economy". If you make it an option, your gear won't be demanded by bots, which will forcefully mean it will be cheaper. You and some other folk will choose this "in principle". But most other people are more interested in maximizing the amount of currency they get from their posts. Because of that, the number of actual offers with this option enabled will be rather small.
Seen this way. I am sure it will have a good effect on making you feel better about trading, but the economy will still behave pretty much as it is doing right now, since most items won't have this enabled. And even then, it will make your item less appealing even to people who "just want to have fun with the item". Because they too might be able to eventually find a better item than it, and when that happens they might want to be able to re-sell the item to recover some currency? |

It's not destroying anything lol, people are actually able to sell items now, especially with ex, so they are more valuable, it has bought Divine Orbs in line and items are more affordable than ever, especially for casual players, it is currently so easy to earn divines running maps and stuff, this is such a bad take. It has helped the casual progression so much.
