Auction house will destroy economy until you add this option

Just add simple solution for AH is like in WoW, if you equip item it became soulbound and you can only trade to NPC

Flippers don't destroy the economy. They're simply buying items people are unknowingly under-pricing and selling them for what they're actually worth.

I only play PoE 1 and I sell my stuff for cheap all the time, knowing they will likely sell the item back for higher value. Why? Because I'm more concerned with securing the value of the item before it deprecates with time.

flippers don't matter as much as the groups that can dictate prices and control supply, this was already a problem and will just get worse over time.

I’ve seen my share of bad takes, but OP really outdid themselves here.

He's seriously suggesting:

"Make trades bind on purchase to save the economy."

take appears bad to you because you are assuming that an ARPG build around trade needs an dynamic economy. it doesn't, actually on the contrary, such economy will turn an ARPG into Tycoon/stock simulator. This is pretty obvious once you play the 'economy' game for one league. its fun and exciting but its not an ARPG lol

"WoW solved it, just do that"

When WoW is literally the best example on how not to design a market. Doing everything opposite of what WoW did would probably give you a better result

It diversifies the "fun" you get from the game. I personally would never play this game again if they decided to make soulbind trades, even though I also play SSF sometimes but for the added challenge.

I spend a lot of time browsing for items and pricing my items. I enjoy it, you do and most players do.

Soulbinding something after a trade is a grotesque disgusting idea.

I also said this in the past: if I was part of the programming team and I knew this kind of change would be upcoming, I would quit my job and make a video in which I explain I have no link to that change and spend the rest of the year trying to clear my name from GGG.

GGG are not that dumb though, there's no way they will go on with souldbind trade because they know it would nuke their game.

i was actually going to say that you would need to make sure the player uses the item at least a bit, so your comment checks out lol.. not that it would fix anything, it would just create a lil gap in how fast you ran resell it, IF reselling the item is even the goal. sometimes they buy items to vendor them

it doesn't once you figure out that playing the economy game is the best way to 'farm' items by orders of magnitude. it literally takes the fun away from the game once you realize how easy and efficient it is. its equivalent of placing a currency dispenser button in your h/o.

"GGG are not that dumb though, there's no way they will go on with souldbind trade because they know it would nuke their game."

at this point is no longer up to them, they tried for a very long time to prevent these things with trade friction, and they tried hard. but whats done its done.

Are you saying if the mob is strong enough they will need to bend the knee?

Is this some type of defund the police argument?

As far as I'm concerned, they control their game. The day they pull the plug on trade, they will radicalize a huge amount of their player base.
My personal opinion is that for GGG to prevent people from abusing the trade system and to prevent things like flippers doing their things, GGG should simply use a sledgehammer to slam on the trade system and drop a nuclear bomb into the trade system.

Just make every person who buy an item from the seller to pay 1 point of mtx point. When the buyer buys the item, a popup box will appear: "1 point of mtx point will be deducted from your account. Do you want to proceed?"

If the buyer does not have any more mtx points in his/her account, then the trade will not be successful.

GGG needs to make it extremely painful for trading so that people will stop abusing the trade system.

Lol, this is probably satire, but let me add this:
Make trading the same experience as tower chasing.
