The amount of items on trade would eventually die out since most items will have been bought at some point and only grinders of one type of content can make profit which would not only raise the price but also dilute the item pool.
No, you would have more items than u can buy, actually
wrong... when someone flips an item that item is still for sale, just at a higher price.
In your system when someone buys an item that item can never be sold again.
OP, the problem isnt flippers, you are just pricing your items incorrectly.
Flippers wouldnt exist if people priced their items correctly in the first place.
Current system: all items are still sold
your system: every item bought can never be sold again
your system will actively remove items from the market, never to be seen again. This is literally less items on the market. I have no idea why you think its more items.

you think the way the market works irl is that when you buy something you cant sell it to someone else?
yea, you saying that says everything I need to know about your opinions. Imagine If someone bought a car and that person couldnt sell their used car after they get a new one. You're definitely correct OP, there is no such thing as a used car market... lmao. In your system the only people allowed to sell cars are car dealers. There will be less competition, they would be free to price things how they want. This would make cars more expensive for everybody.
you can sell one car, maybe 2 per year. as soon as you start selling those things en mass you have to register as a car dealership and pay up a huge chunk of your profits, to the point that you might not be even profitable if you don't make enough margin. so as you put it:
"yea, you saying that says everything I need to know about your opinions."
What the hell are you talking about.
I was pointing out not being able to sell things after you buy them is NOT how the market works IRL. You CAN sell things after you buy them. What is this nonsense you just typed.

you cannot just 'sell things' irl, i just pointed out an example to you based on your own analogy. why are you confused?

Lmao you absolutely can just list your car for sale. There is no requirement to do so. Even if you had to 'register' as a dealership or something, that is STILL being able to sell things that you bought it, unlike your suggestion of making them soulbound which is 100% permanent forever.
Your suggestion is NOT how the market works IRL. Why is this so hard for you to understand.
Are you a teenager or something, your logic is unusually bad.

no it is not 'STILL being able to sell things' those things are tightly regulated to control how efficient your flipping activity is. if people would be free to flip items left and right no one would work (play the game). i am not going to sit here and explain this to you, but you are very wrong with your simplistic view of the 'irl' aspects

Is your brain just completely unable to make the distinction between "being able to resell things with regulations" versus "cant resell things at all" You are saying the way it works IRL is that you cant resell things. This is 100% wrong, period. That is literally one of the most common things in an economy.
and you're reaaaaaally reaching trying to say its "tightly regulated" to resell a car you bought...
Jfc
Anyways Im done here. Theyre not going to add OP's idea because it's extremely terrible so I dont even need to waste any more time here.

I love the fact that only suggestion that makes any sense was ignored completely. But that sums this forum pretty well i think.
