Campaign > Endgame
It may be me, but the length to play through the campaign is enough for me. Getting to maps took too dang long, but really did enjoy Act 4. Nothing else. Playing redundant maps now, over and over is such a turnoff for me.
So, good job on act 4. But for me to actually stick around with poe2 as a casual gamer needs to HEAVILY shorten the game. 1 week of playing poe2 and just getting to maps was such a chore, I'm quitting without getting into endgame. It seems like POE1 is built around endgame farming, but Poe2 is built around only campaign. So finish campaign and that's the game and you're done. Последняя редакция: TheAssenAssAssen#9311. I agree. I'm already 30+ and I don't have a lot of time to play.
It's already 2 weeks since 0.3 was released, and I have not even finished the campaign. Many people have already finished playing this league, and I haven't even started the maps... |

A non-negligible portion of the playerbase is going to be couch co-op, and an even smaller minority of these teams is going to finish the campaign compared to solo players.
(We've started our co-op on the release weekend − of 0.1, not 0.3 − and due to various circumstances, we are still in Act 2 all these months later.) |

I dont even consider campaing a game. Poe game is rare t15 t16 maps farm for min maxing. Campaign or we can call it tutorial, is a long and slow santa barbara style cinematic before the game starts. I did it, it was fun first time but thats it.

I just finished the campaign last night and I really enjoyed act 4. I really don't care about mapping at this point so I'll probably roll a new character - I want to try them all before it really goes live and decide which character I like the best. I'm casual as well so I wouldn't care if there was only 1-2 leagues a Year..
In game since Minotaur League..

" And this is why we can't have nice things. Min maxing is not playing a game, it's something akin to doing accounting: numbers, numbers, more numbers....oh did I mention the numbers? 99% of gamers hate min maxing, but in POE they force themselves to play like that, because they are convinced that's how it's supposed to be.....yet they hate every minute of it; reason why you see so much complaining. |

Maps are annoying right now IMO. They suck to juice properly and it takes ages to get ramped up on them. Finding towers and collecting tablets is a crapshoot. Even just filling out the alas tree is dependent on finding corrupted nodes which maybe you'll just be unlucky.
They need a very large rework. I'm only doing about T9s right now (haven't been playing much) and have about 80% IIR on my gear and still - really nothing drops. Like I'll get a few exalts a map. Okay. I haven't even felt the need to setup a loot filter cause there's not enough stuff on the ground for me to bother filtering out. |

The last time poe was a campaign game, like diablo 2 for example was before shaper and atlas was added in poe 1. Thats maybe 2013 or 2014? Since then poe became build min maxing power fantasy. I know this isnt poe 1 but i also know theres atlas and maps in poe 2 and i can guaranty you with 99.9999% probability that poe 2 focus in the future will be new league mechanics for these maps and pinacle content. How many times will ypu run this tutorial thinking you are playing "the game" every season is up to you, but vast majority of people who comes back every league doesnt do that to repeat the tutorial and quit till next league. They engage in the atlas and maps game. Some poeple do 10 maps, some do 1000 maps. This tutorial is just unavoidable start till that point.

PoE1 became (also) a campaign game again with the addition of Ruthless.
(And I guess those HardCore Gauntlets and special leagues with harder modifiers.) Though of course it doesn't change how reaching the Atlas is only the midgame (even if not necessarily the subjective midgame). That « vast majority of people who comes back every league » are also a minority of all the PoE1 players. I wonder how this is going to change with on one hand, more spaced out PoE1 seasons, but on the other hand, less spaced out PoE1+2 seasons... |

Im afraid i quit poe 1 when they added Maven so havent played ruthleas. At some point in future, statistics might be published and we will see how this turns out
