Tried levelling monk. That was a mistake

What is wrong with monk defenses? Ice strike monk with twink gear (so resistances are ok). He is just dead from 2-3 hits and being melee this is crazy.

I have 3 90+ chars, i NEVER died that much in the campaign.

Did you test this? wtf

Ice Strike monk was by far my easiest campaign experience so far. I posted an Act 3 build in my signature, because I've seen several people make posts like yours. A lot of people are running into the same noob traps you probably are.

Max damage and faster start of ES recharge. Armor and resistances don't matter much. Craft the best weapon you can and freeze everything. If stuff is frozen, it can't attack you, so you don't need defenses.

It was a one-button build with great clear by Act 4.

dunno what traps are there, i follow the top guide from mobalytics. my resists are 60+, dps is very good.

es/ev gear with good stats for the level.

faster start of ES recharge is endgame stat. how do we expect leveling build to get it.

also, you can't freeze ground degens


again. i leveled 3 chars, and one of them was warrior as league starter. it was completely fine.when i try monk its a shitshow of no defences. like evasion doesn't even work

There's something wrong with your build. I was deleting all campaign bosses. If your DPS is 6k and your ES is 2k, you will too.

i've no problems with bosses. very easy.

its the fodder in between. i explode them quickly, but ranged mobs and degens get me in 2-3 hits. like i have 0 stats in def. very weird.

But why would you blame the game though? There is a little learning curve for the mechanics and tools which can help you.
