Battlefield 6 = 90 FPS / POE2 = 40FPS

Hello guys. Im a PC player and have a mid tier setup. I was playing the new Battlefield 6 and after some adjustments i was able to get a stable 90 FPS on multiplayer.

Sorry, i don't want to compare, but how in the hell i CAN'T get more than 50fps on POE2? It's the UE engine?

In Poe, optimization has never been its strong point, but I heard from a streamer that at least 20% of your PC's resources are being used by GGG to send game data, so between some optimization and the release of that 20% when the game is at 1.0, the improvement will be noticeable.

I mean the optimization is just bad at the moment. Especially on consoles where you can get drops to like sub 20 fps even on a PS5pro(pretty sure it runs BF6 above 60 fps too even when stuff gets hectic)

I really hope they can fix it eventually because the current situation is just terrible for the game's long-term success

It 2 different genres... Shooters have always been easy to get good fps on.

poe is a top down game, it's the opposite, it's very easy for GGG to optimize their game compared to an open world large scale PvP game

the issue with performance in 0.3 has nothing to do with the genre, it's the fact that they rewrote the frontend of their renderer, wich killed the performance accross the board

it's called a "regression" in software, i let you google that

Comparing apples and oranges, Counter-Strike 2 gives me 500 fps?
