Stupid trials

This is probably my single biggest gripe of the game, locking build enabling passives behind trials...

Trials which at time's don't test the gear and build at all. Honour system...which you can only replenish through wells and certain pacts/buffs. ES Builds obviously have a major advantage there.

And the other trials...i've tried to do it with 10 rooms or whatever, its an absolute nightmare.

Both trials for 3rd and 4th take WAY WAY WAY too long, and if you fail...not only do you not get your ascendencies, you waste 1-2 hours of your time.

Yes, it's a skill issue. Sekhemas gives you plenty of ways to avoid bad fates.

And even if you don't win your ascendancy, you'll at the very least get relics, which will make you more likely to win an ascendancy later.
Ascendancy gated by trials full of traps is not a good choice.

Trials can be fun if they're full of bosses or whatever, but not traps and dodging mechanics.

I stopped playing PoE1 because of the labyrinth and never looked back.
